Looking for Shadow Man Vol.3 #6

Post by Shadowman99 »

Hi, (This is my first post, please be gentle with me if I make some totally n00bish type of mistake!)

As this is the Valiant fans forum, I thought it'd be a great place to see if someone can help me with my request:

To cut a long story short, I've loved Shadow Man since I was first ever introduced to the Acclaim video game back in the late 90's, and I recently recalled that my pal all those years ago told me that there were some comic books of Shadow Man too. Well, now that I have my own internet connection and a rekindled joy in Shadow Man, I thought I'd see if any of the comics were available anywhere. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to find every issue except for one: Vol.3 #6.

So, I'm wondering, does anybody own and is willing to part with a copy? I'm happy to discuss a price, so please PM me to talk about it privately.
Of course, if anyone knows of anywhere that I can find one or stand a good chance of being able to, I'd appreciate the tips too :D

Many thanks everyone!

On copies that you have seen, have you found colour bleed from printing on the issues?
Or printers marks on the cover and backs?

Sorry I said colour bleed - should of said color bleed.

As in the colour / color running during the printing process and causing blurred marks on the comic.
Also printing marks, as in marks caused during the printing process usually White blotches.

I have found these problems quite common with this issue. Thought if you had been searching for a high grade issue you may have come across this problem.

Just saying.

I got a steal on my copy. It was like $8, there was a crease across the back corner but other than that, and especially on the inside, it was great.
I never noticed any coor issues tbh.

Thanks, I haven't decided whether to sell this lot or not. Some of these books belong to a buddy of mine, but the Harby and Preacher I'm definitely not selling. I was very happy with the results given these were just submitted raw without any pressing, however the X-O that failed the 9.4 screen is a noodle scratcher...

What's the market on the #6, GPA shows there hasn't been a sale since 09? Is that right?

I also have two Rai 0s and two Harby 1s in my first batch that I submitted before this one. I took a shot at the quick press route via CCS....we'll see how that goes... :hope:

I’m not sure what the going price is on the Shadowman. Certainly. A rare bird.

It’s definitely a good time to have Rai 0 books. That book has surpassed my expectations for sure. Super happy to have my 9.9 glossy.

I would be selling that 9.9 so fast! Did you ever sell that GSX 9.8?

My batch with the Harby’s and Rai’s I was hoping to have by now, CCS is a lot slower than CGC.

I’ve thought about it! I sold the GSX, and used the funds to buy some of CKB’s slabs, and a bunch of high grade silver marvel, which I plan to slab. The CCS turnaround is stupid. Takes me 6 months to press and grade something these days, thereabouts.
