Re: WTB - Savage #1 (3rd Print)
I thought there was some discussion as to whether this was actually ever printed.

I do hope that it was, as I ordered and paid for a copy earlier this week (has not been shipped yet...).nycjadie wrote:I thought there was some discussion as to whether this was actually ever printed.
IF it never was printed, then it sort makes me wonder how we have a 4th Print?

Re: WTB - Savage #1 (3rd Print)
I just went through my slabs and updated the registry. I have all of them except the 3rd print (and the ashcan book).

I’ve asked that the ashcan be added to the registry set. No action taken, yet.

I believe that the Savage #1 (Previews) is actually the NYCC variant, NOT the Ashcan.nycjadie wrote:I just went through my slabs and updated the registry. I have all of them except the 3rd print (and the ashcan book).
Also, I am planning to submit a few 3rd Prints this month (depending on raw condition course) and will let you know the results. As you may agree, I only really need one, so any others will be made available.

Re: WTB - Savage #1 (3rd Print)
Quick question, are the 3rd and 4th print really low numbers?
Which is the rarer print outside of variant editions?
Does it descend in numbers printed from1 through to 4.
Or can 4th print sometimes be greater than , lets say 3rd print.
Just asking.

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I don't have any proof, but I think that a 4th print could definitely be higher than 3rd.Phantom wrote:Quick question, are the 3rd and 4th print really low numbers?

Valiant was keeping books in stock at Diamond until the trade paperbacks were available (and then the trade paperbacks stay in stock).
If Valiant "planned" a 2nd print, which they seemed to do from time to time, then they may have chosen the 2nd print numbers early.
If the demand required a 3rd print, then they would try to guess the numbers for the 3rd print.
If they guessed wrong on the 3rd, they might print enough of the 4th print to be sure not to run out again.
Except for Divinity #1, I don't think we've seen a 5th print, so it's likely that 4th print is usually "plenty" when it happens and I think it might exceed 3rd print (sometimes).

Divinity #1 did have a 5th print (I think you were saying they didn't do a 5th print?)greg wrote:I don't have any proof, but I think that a 4th print could definitely be higher than 3rd.Phantom wrote:Quick question, are the 3rd and 4th print really low numbers?

Where Divinity collecting can become challenging, is when you start looking for:
Divinity #3 Second Print.
Divinity #3 Second Print.
