Post by jeremycoe »

Silver Fox Collectibles posted this on my Bloodshot Fans Facebook page:
"Hi Bloodshot Fans, This is Silver Fox Collectibles & We are delighted to announce to you, that we have aquired the Collectibles License with Valiant Entertainment to bring a great range of high end collectibles to the you the fans. We have just completed our first statue, of Bloodshot in a 3D sculpt which is being printed out now & a Paint Master will be completed before the end of this year. There are 2 versions, One is a 1:4 Scale & the other is a 1:10 Scale version. As an introductory offer we are giving a 10% Discount on either of these 2 products. Hope you like them and thank you for your support! BTW, Ninjack WIP images will be released next month!"
The webpage for the 1:10 statue is https://silverfoxcollectibles.com/colle ... ale-statue" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The 1:10 statue is $179.99 and the 1:4 statue is $699.99. Looks pretty cool!

Looks really cool but . . . . I have never heard of Silver Fox Collectibles so I searched on the Statue Forum and found these . . .

http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=160254" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=158824" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=134692" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am not a big statue collector so wondering if there are statue collectors who can say more about Silver Fox? Just want to learn more before deciding to get this or not. :?

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I've sent VEI a message to at least make sure the license to make the statues is legit.

Looks pretty cool. However I doubt my wife would let me display a 2 foot tall statue of an armed man in the house, even if I wanted to put it in the basement on display.

I have seen so many great statues over the years but I always wonder who or how or where they are displayed, especially if one is in the married stage of life. (I have a few Moore statues that have been put back in their boxes for +15 plus years)

I love the idea of them, but want to see more than just a digital rendering. The sculpt looks a bit cold, but maybe color would bring it to life. It definitely looks comic booky, as opposed to realistic.

Not enthusiastic about the critical comments about the company. These complaints look legit.

Super cool statue, but I think the head looks way too angry. Looks like he's going to burst a blood vessel....

Agreed, this is the wrong expression for this pose. His face says 'Intense attack' (Shooting gun/stabbing with knife, etc.), but the body is basically in a relaxed pose :?

I don't think they will sell 250 of the 1:4 size.
Not many people have space to put it, and over priced.
The detail would have to be amazing, works better as 1:10.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I just noticed that there are interchangeable heads for both the 1:10 and 1:4 statues. It lists one head as "angry" and one head as "normal." I don't see a picture of the "normal" heads. However, the red eyes of the "angry" 1:4 Bloodshot head apparently light up.... glowing red.

There's some weird sculpting at the eyebrows: folds in the skin that show musculature that just doesn't exist, and the forehead skin is super smooth but has two extremely deep wrinkles in. There isn't a person on this Earth whose skin does that on their forehead. If you check the side view photo you can see he also has an incredibly feminine curved jawline, rather than a straight line from the chin to the 90-ish degree turn that's supposed to happen in the bone. Again, this isn't real anatomy, plus the join of the jaw to the neck shows some kind of super deep recess that again, doesn't exist in real life, never mind whatever the *SQUEE* it is that's happening on his actual neck in front of the popping veins :?
