Best way of selling Valiant Entertainment Comics

Post by Domixt »

Hi all

I've been clearing long-boxes and switching some old runs from floppies to Hardcovers.

Quick one, where is the best place to sell recent runs?

They aren't complete, and don't have consistent cover choice. For example: Archer and Armstrong issues 17 to 25, all mixed covers. Or X-O from issue 17 to 50 with all tie-ins....

Is it best to sell individually (detailing cover) or as a lot on e-Bay?

If you're looking to pass along regular issues, placing them as a group, and being reasonable with the price, is probably the best way to package them. If they are variants (1:10, 1:20, etc), do them individually. Sadly, if you try and sell the regulars individually, they just won't sell, and if you lump variants together, you won't make as much

This

The problem with regular individual issues that have no real value (I mean aside from standard back issue value) is not so much the price for the book itself, but unless you offer free shipping, no one wants to pay $2-$3 for a regular issue and then pay another $3-$5 in shipping for it too.

I know when I buy, I factor shipping price into the overall price to justify the value. For example, if someone is asking $3 for a $5 book, cool...but when they want $6 in shipping, now that $5 book is going to cost me $9, not cool

Thanks everyone! None of the covers are super fancy so will just bundle them. I'm not looking to make massive amounts of money or anything. Just like them to go to someone who'll enjoy them! :-)
