Armstrong: Vault Of Spirits 1-shot Discussion

If anyone would like to hear our OTV:VCR podcast discussing/reviewing this issue, please follow the link below.

Also for the first time, we broke with our strict format of only reviewing new comics to take time to discuss the recent DMG takeover.

A very enjoyable one-shot. This story just kept getting better all the way through. Loved the art too.

It felt like an actual Archer & Armstrong story, which is quite refreshing since it has honestly been some time since we had one despite having the A&A title for several months! lol!

This was ok, some nice nods to continuity, and a lighthearted ending...

I enjoyed the light read. It was fun. I seem to get so mentally vested in the big titles so this was a nice break.

I enjoyed it, and I'm wondering what was intended by the idea that Ivar doesn't believe he will ever see Neela again but Neela showed up (secretly to Aram) with a surprise gift for Ivar.

Where do you think it fits in the continuity?

This was a fantastic issue! Loved all the characters and the flashback tale to Noah. Art by CAFU was amazing, just all around a great issue. I agree, this is the A&A book we should be getting. Why oh why can't we get an A&A, Q&W, EW, Timewalker or Faith book of this quality every month?

Fred, Mr. Van Lente, if you're reading this please keep cranking 'em out!

I'm thinking about slotting it in between the faith mini and ongoing, after wrath of eternal warrior.

Ya, I've been spending a lot of time trying to create a "reading" order. I get excited when the books interconnect like this one.

I have to say, I enjoyed this immensely. I could feel the Valiant Universe reconnecting as I read it.
