Wasn't this an Acclaim title?
This is what happens when you try to work...
Re: Valiant announces new book THE BAD EGGS, about dinosaurs
It was acclaim, I guess VEI own that stuff too but I never thought about it.

Re: Valiant announces new book THE BAD EGGS, about dinosaurs
Something seems off about this... This happened three days ago. Why isn't anyone else talking about? Usually CBR or Newsarama have something to say about new Valiant announcements, but I can't find anything.
Are we sure this wasn't a joke? Why would they announce a new book in the middle of Comic-Con, when it wouldn't turn any heads at all. Here's the actual quote:
In the broader sense, I think most of these titles could be considered reboots (Ninja-K, Eternity, Q&W, Kindt's X-O, Bloodshot Salvation), but I think it would be silly to put 'Icons' in the same category as DC Rebirth or Marvel NOW!

So, Fred Van Lente suggested that “All the Marvel Universe characters should be dinosaurs.” Maybe he’s onto something there.

I'm sure they didn't mean 'reboot' in the same way that Marvel does. It's more of a change in direction. I mean, we're 4 books in (5, including Future Force), and I haven't really seen any evidence to suggest that this is a reboot.nonplayer wrote:So when Valiant was selling Icons, never was it sold as a re boot event. One of the worst written articles I have ever read.
WTF is this person smoking. I would love to see if Dinesh can confirm that their team believes that everyone is going digital for their comics.Valiant is “not running towards” animation or going on TV. The team knows that everyone is going digital for their comics, which is a “net positive” for fans who can’t get physical copies.

Re: Valiant announces new book THE BAD EGGS, about dinosaurs
Yeah I agree. Development of Bad Eggs, is 100% directed at a Tween/Young Adult TV animated series. It's the best thing the series has going for it. I'm actually surprised it took them this long to get to it. When I talked to Bob Layton at a ComicCon 5-ish years ago he thought Bad Eggs was a no-brainer.paradise wrote:One of the worst written articles I have ever read.

This is interesting, many questions.
Was Dinesh just referring to DC and Marvel a dinosaurs?
If this is legit news, it must be a Ank tie in with Faith and The Future Force?

Shirtless bear Fighter from what I gather was a success. If this news is true it's reminiscent of the bear fighting stage. Cash in on the looncyckb wrote:Yeah I agree. I always find it humorous when people take humor seriously.

I agree, I'm not sure this is real. The site is junk and so is the article, that's why I asked if anyone has any better info. I can't really figure out why it would be made up either though.TheFerg714 wrote:Something seems off about this... This happened three days ago. Why isn't anyone else talking about? Trinity Angels, and Troublemakers really were teased during Book of Death on the behind the scenes whiteboard. They might really be the next book to launch next year.Aram wrote:Everyone knows trinity angels is the next reboot.
Eventually Bad Eggs will probably make some kind of return, but there''s no telling if it will be an in name only reboot or the same concept. I doubt that it's coming next though. Grackle, Trinity Angels, Troublemakers, Gravediggers, etc. are all more likely to be reimagined first.

They could be harda** were-dinos who followed Savage to our world. And Ank, as pointed above, could actually be a cool connection.
Or not.

I enjoyed bad eggs when I was a teen - haven't read it in years though - don't think this is a thing right now but I agree it could be written to a Bob's Burgers type audience and be a success.
