So I'm curious.

I have done hundreds of not thousands of DEFIANT searches over the last several years and haven't seen a single one come up for sale.
If I personally had a NM copy, I'd ask at least $200.

It's a book I've been "aware" of for a bit.

And I've open more than a few p&c books to check.

This is going to be of zero value to you, but I sold a copy in an eBay auction back in 2005 and got a high bid of $21.19. I think CorvetteJim was my high bidder at the time. If I had the same book now, I would likely list it as a Buy It Now for around $50.

I don't see $200, as I don't think P&C #2 Spanish is as limited as Birth of the Defiant Universe. It's probably more of a case of no one opening the books up and looking for the Spanish writing.

P&C 1 Spanish Edition is fairly commonly found for sale. I don't subscribe to your theory because that would indicate people are checking their first issues to see if they're Spanish but aren't checking their second issues.

You don't need to check the first issue other than to look at the front cover because there is Spanish right on the cover. For issue #2, you need to actually open the book to see if there is Spanish language inside as the front cover is identical to the English version. Now, that might not sound like such a big deal, but when one is rooting through bargain boxes and trying to get through them quickly, pulling a book out just to check the inside front page takes up time and is a little bit more of an effort. That's how I found at least one of my copies. I was rooting through a bargain box, saw a stack of P&C #2s and took a shot and pulled them all out and opened them. One in the stack happened to be the Spanish version.

I'll say this, if these start selling for even half of $200, I'll be the first in line to cash mine in. :hope:

Thanks for the info on the first issue having Spanish on it. I hadn't noticed that. I think the P&C 2 Spanish variant is harder to find than the Splatterball no seal variant, and that's saying a lot. Whether or. not there are copies people own that are Spanish and they don't know doesn't matter to me. It is still extremely hard to find copies on the market. I've not seen once.
I didn't expect anyone to agree with my $200 price for a NM copy, but I did help to establish the price on the Splatterball no seal variant. I could have priced that at $50 for a 9.4 and people would have thought the price on that should be $50. After I sold my two slabs of the no seal Splatterball, a raw copy sold for $135.

From my experience, P&C 2 Spanish is super hard to find.

I've been opening P&C 2s for YEARS! Never found one.

I finally did.

There is a post somewhere on the boards back in the that put the thought in my mind. I've been looking and finally found one.

Is it rare? Maybe.

Hard for me to find? Yes. Very.

So , from 2011, every time I've seen a P&C 2, I've opened it.

Finally found the Spanish one.
