That War Mother cover is awesome!

I love it when OA has actual color to it, and really need to snag up a Mack cover at some point in the near future. ANOTHER really good idea might be Mike Choi, who is hand-painting his covers right now. If one of those were to be published by Valiant, the original art would be a whole new level of collecting awesomeness!

Regardless, that Mack cover is a total win!

Thanks. Yeah, I've had my eye on picking up a Mike Choi piece for a while now. I did notice that his most recent stuff is painted, so adding one of those would be pretty nice.

Gotta try to keep this thread going. :)

I remember seeing this one when it was solicited, and it really jumped out at me.

:o why do I put myself through this every time. SO good.

I am with Steve on this little run of B&W where I prefer that over the colored versions. I go back through to see the XO #50 final page by Giorello every time I check into this thread - pretty sure that might be my favorite pencil ever thus far.

Would love to start on some OA soon - Divinity please!

PS LaRosa is just... on another plane some times. Incredible to have his work here.

Very nice sketch covers. I should really try to set one up myself next year at ECCC.

I finally got around to getting a scan of this cover I picked up a couple weeks ago.

Shadow man #37 cover by the great Bob Hall. Love the Shadowman covers and I probably overpaid for this but when there is only 1 what can you do. Now if could only track down the cover to issue #10

If I didn't overpay for stuff my collection would be about half the size that it is. :)

Yup, I've been relentlessly searching for BWS's original cover to Solar Man of the Atom #10! His genius is beyond words as he brilliantly demonstrated the hidden darkness and void that exists inside othe hearts of men. Or at least a close up rendering of a sharp/flat ebony piano key.

Much like yourself, our desire to own iconic and stunning original artwork like what you have acquired is a force of nature. Well done on this fantastic Bob Hall cover!

Thank you.
Indeed. That Solar 10 cover is definitely unique, I would love to see what that looks like in person. I was always curious besides the Solar covers that are on CAF and Solar #3 which the Donnelys' are selling, have any of the others ever made it to market at some point? Its seems there is still a large chunk of Valiant art that's out there somewhere.

I was very happy to add this great painted cover by Felipe Massafera to my collection. You get the entire Shadow Seven in action.

Yeah, I had heard the same thing, but I will say that once we made the deal he got the art shipped out right away.
