Is this movement only on the Ultimates Redux stuff (e.g., white Ultimates covered books, or also the original black cover scheme stuff)?Elveen wrote:These books have been commanding some real nice prices.

All the 1st JH books have heat. If it becomes a "thing" like X-23, there are a few other books that will also get heat.

I think it might have to do with his arrival into the mainstream Marvel, in the new X-Men BlueElveen wrote:IMJ wrote:Is this movement only on the Ultimates Redux stuff (e.g., white Ultimates covered books, or also the original black cover scheme stuff)?Elveen wrote:These books have been commanding some real nice prices.

I don't know, 3 freaking Wolverines walking around and none of them is The dude- sooner or later, OML, X-23, or Hudson will be cut from the line, I think.

X-Men Gold #1 first print. Sadly, I could only get one copy.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
I picked this up out of... believe it or not.... reader interest back when I was making my DCBS order for that month. I've basically all but abandoned Marvel, but this looked like a classic sort of X-Men book and wanted to give it a try, and I lucked out with this particular issue myself.ShadowTuga wrote:X-Men Gold #1 first print. Other than trying those two new X-books though, I'm still not over Marvel's nonsense over the last few years. It'll be a long time, if ever before I really embrace their publishing line again.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
I hear ya. I dropped Marvel in 2012, when NOW! arrived. I only bought 6 issues of Moon Knight by Ellis in the period between then and this month. A few months ago I'd laugh if anyone said I would be buying Marvel singles again so soon.IMJ wrote:I picked this up out of... believe it or not.... reader interest back when I was making my DCBS order for that month. But this X-Men push feels like Marvel is over the Fox movie deal and they are back on putting these characters up front. I sincerely hope it is that way. I am buying Gold and picked up Lemire's last arc on Old Man Logan because of those awesome covers.

Whoa has anyone noticed Invincible comics lately? Raws of issue one going for $3-500 bucks, we talked about this one as a slow burner for a long time, finally it's taken off after selling around $100 raw for awhile.

There are about 10-15 Invincible book that I could see really having a price increase.GGSAE wrote:Whoa has anyone noticed Invincible comics lately? #1 has been a $200+ raw book for a while.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Probably. I'd like to do a reread to figure out the bigger story points. Issues 44 and 110 with Anissa are easy. 1st Oliver, Thragg and Conquest might be good. There are several variants and second prints that have always been or are becoming hard to find.depluto wrote:Any after the first 20 or so?Elveen wrote:There are about 10-15 Invincible book that I could see really having a price increase.GGSAE wrote:Whoa has anyone noticed Invincible comics lately? The gateway cover of #50 was very hard to find, and they rarely come up for sale. I wish I would have picked up a 9.8 in the last couple years, but that is out of the question now.

Nice Walker sketch!
I finally got a page of Ottley OA when he was in Orlando recently. I can die happy. If any of you really like the character, the statue is beautiful.
