Oh boy. I'm usually the guy with the luggage rack with a short box strapped to it. I've had people laugh at me. They are all young and disability free.

Emerald City Comicon (Seattle - March 2017)

Post by TheeBaldMoose »

Just turned over my Harbinger Renegade #1 sketch comic book to Rafer Roberts, as I am having him draw Solomon and his dog on the cover. Gonna have CGC with me so he can turn over the art and sign it, then I can submit it. Rafer has ECCC on his schedule of events on his website. I just wonder if he is going in support of Harbinger and Valiant and not sticking around in Artist Alley...

For those interested, Rafer just sent out a tweet confirming he will be at ECCC this year and that he is taking commissions now.

CBCS Offers *ON-SITE GRADING* in Seattle During Emerald City Comic Con!
Attention Seattle and comic book collectors

The CBCS (Comic Book Certification Service) crew will be traveling to Seattle March 2-5, 2017 to offer our comic book grading services during the Emerald City Comic Con weekend.

CBCS will be providing On Site Grading and accepting Regular submissions at the Grand Hyatt Seattle across the street from the Comic Con. We are excited to try out this new venue for On-Site Grading, but that is not all. CBCS will also be hosting some special signing events with comic book creators at our location within the Grand Hyatt Seattle. As we get closer to the event, we will be releasing the names, dates and times for these events.

Also, in order to make this unusual circumstance as convenient as possible for "CBCS'ers," we will be announcing the names and convention floor locations of the vendors who have volunteered to accept submissions on our behalf during the convention.

Of course, CBCS would have preferred to be allowed to set up within the Reed Pop convention venue as that would have been more convenient for our customers to submit books. Unfortunately, the exclusive agreement between CGC and Reed Pop prevents that convenience.

The good news is that the CBCS crew refuses to allow hurdles to keep us from providing services for our valued customers. We owe so much to our loyal customers--staying away from Seattle was simply not an option for us!

We believe that collectors deserve the right to use the grading company of their choice.

We trust that when collectors are given an option within the industry, they will base their decisions on the company that provides the best Customer Service, Product, Quality, and Turnaround times. CBCS will continue to strive to be that company.

This is awesome. Looking forward to the Friday panel, and hope to sneak in on Saturday. It would be great to get the scoop on news, and see some of the Valiant peeps again.

This is a seriously Valiant con. So many artists and talent.

Is there a solidified plan out there for when fans can meet up and chat? I hope I get to meet some of you at ECCC.

We should get a solid plan together, for sure.

CBCS is having a separate off-site signing event as they are barred from ECCC. Here is the Valiant talent. Schedule/timing is still up in the air. I'm hoping they do this at off hours, as I'd hate to have to leave the convention to do the signings. I might reach out to them suggesting the same so they don't compete with the main event.

The idea of getting a SS slab of someone named Ray Fawkes on a 1% book makes me laugh.

Mike Marts - Acclaim Armorines 1-4

Andrew Robinson - Shadowman 9 variant, Harbinger 18 1:20, Quantum 1 1:20, Archer 10 1:50, Quantum 5 regular

Fabian Nicieza - Acclaim - all

Ray Fawkes - 1%, Bloodshot Annual, Archer 25

maybe someone else can try this, it didn't seem to want to work for me.

I tried to put together a chain message for everyone to share their information (phone numbers) This would allow us to at least text each other. Although the building ECCC is located in doesn't get much reception, where Valiant was located last year seemed to get some.

As a minimum, we will all be in the Valiant Panels. Might I suggest we all try and sit up front (to begin with), then we can all "bump into" each other and say hi, exchange info, etc.

Should be easy to find me, 6'1", bald head, beard, wearing some type of Valiant shirt (time to get a new one, suggestions?)

I'm the fat white guy with a flannel...

In all seriousness, I think a planned meal or bar event (informal) would be fun. I'm worried that I might not be able to make it on Saturday.

There are now well over 40 Valiant artists at ECCC. This is surely going to be an awesome con. I'm not even sure where to start, as it will likely be impossible to see all of them. I have to come up with a game plan...

Ugghhh this sounds so awesome!! I feel so woefully...new :littleangry: lol and under-booked. You all have such dope libraries to have signed. I live vicariously through you.

I do get a chance at Shooter this month, though. Wish I had some quality non slabbed V1. Any pro-tips on getting sigs?
