Glad I'm not the only X-Nut here =p. Anyways I'm still collecting the current uncanny issues just so I can say I have the complete run of the series. Unfortunately their stories could never compare back to the byrne/claremont days.slym2none wrote:X-Men #1 - Let's face it. Who didn't fall for this one?![]()
Again, yes - but I have a full run of X-Men as I have bought every issue since, as well as having a complete run of Uncanny from #94 to current.
If you didn't know before, I am somewhat of an X-Nut...![]()
As for gimmicks, I bought most of them during the 90's, but the only gimmick I felt was worthy was X-O #0 (Chromium cover) and Ghost Rider#15 (Glow in the dark cover). Also I still think X-Men #275 is one of the best gatefold covers out there.

Ah yes, another fan of the Ghost Rider 15 glow in the dark. I still love that book. Even the gold 2nd print is pretty cool if not tacky. I'm also a fan of the Silver Surfer 50 and the bagged and multi-colored Spider-Man 1's. And don't get me started on the Valiant platinum and gold issues (which is why I own them all today I guess) In fact, a handful of the early 90 comic gimmicks were pretty neat.

let me preface this by saying this a bit off topic...
hearing you guys talk about the x-cutioners song storyline made me remember that i've got an uncut sheet of the cards.
i don't know where it came from...i don't remember buying it...i don't remember anyone giving it to me. i just found it in a packing tube a couple of years ago.
has anyone else seen one? what's the deal with these things?

Please do post some pics... there is all sorts of un-substantiated information about this very "problem" but I have yet to actually see anything (and I have been one to spout out some of this information as, if not fact, then assumption.)jcdenton wrote:Speaking of polybags, has anyone noticed severe degradation as a result of storage in these things? I have a bagged and unbagged X Force #1 and the bagged one is noticeably discolored compared to the unbagged one. I might post pics later when I get the chance.

Wolverine
Banshee
Morph
Joseph (Savage Land)
Cable (close, but not the exact uniform)
Cyclops (circa X-Men #1. Close but not exact)
Still looking for more. Many other figures wear similar uniforms, but not the exact one.

Did you see this? Not an action figure, but still interesting:shaxper wrote:Forgedepluto wrote:What's the tally on that one?shaxper wrote:Heck yeah! That cover got me started on my obsessive hunt to acquire every X-Men action figure ever released in the Gold and Blue unifrorm.

Spiderman 1. I thought I had all the variants until everyone started talking about the gold upc copy sold from K-Mart. By that time the price was high and there was no way I was going to pay it.
Still I got the green unbagged, the green bagged, the green newstand bagged, the silver unbagged, the silver bagged & the platinum. Oh yeah, and I got McFarlane to sign a green and a silver for me. Way too many spidermans.

Good point! Observe...Flinx wrote:Plus the one gimmick not mentioned yet - the dreaded guest appearance.Chuck wrote:ALL OF THEM

Not even Spider-Man, nor Power Pack's "guest appearance" over in Uncanny X-Men, was ever gonna help this lame-*SQUEE* title!
