A purchase I'm happy with... I won an Ultimate Fallout 4 CGC 9.8 for 97.00 including shipping.
I couldn't believe I got it that cheap. The next day one sold in a BIN for 159.95 including shipping.

Got this for a few bucks from an "antique" shop along with a couple of nice Spideys. Not in that great of condition but I love all the signatures.

Is this bragging? I don't know if I got a good deal, or this is the normal price.

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Wow! I was in a shop in CA years ago and picked up 4 Geomancer flats for $20. I almost ran out!Phantom wrote:Is this bragging? I don't know if I got a good deal, or this is the normal price.

Oh good
so it is a bragging rights / good deal.
Wasn't sure.
I would have paid more, but that does not mean it was worth more.
Glad I got it for that price and not my bid for the item.

Most of the flats used to be on ebay quite a bit, now they don't seem to pop up too often. Nice snag.

Watchmen trade for £2.50.
Remember reading it ~ but don't have it. Now I do for less than a pint.

Not bragging ~ but happy.
Faith 5th printing. I have been looking online, but I don't think many people got it in, never seen it for sale.
Saw it at cover, but more importantly I was 'cool' it does exist!

Warning ~ the above post was a 'nerd' post.
My excuse, spent 4 hours on a trains and another hour walking (just wanted to walk) for a 45 minute meeting, which cost me £££ .
That is almost twice the cost of our family car
So to find it, it cheered me up.

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
I don't know if this would be classified as a steal, or a best deal or not. I will say I LOVE the art work, especially considering there are only a few varied views of War Mothers face. There is nothing special about the comic, just a plain "Book of Death" #1, but the art work is amazing! I'll try and post a better pic soon

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
I was lucky and got Harby wars #4 bleeding monk variant. Next week it's heading off to cgc to get graded and unless it gets damaged durring shipping or cgc messes up some how I'm betting it's a 9.8 or better. Has no creases dents or anything. If it comes back a 9.8 it will be a low grade for what I'm expecting.
I Miss the good old days.

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?
That's fantastic. They're very htf. Regarding 9.8 being a low grade to expect. Expert graders can tell you when a book looks immaculate, but 9.9s or 10s can't ever be expected. I would bet even money that in the next 100 years there will be zero 9.9s or 10s for that book. A 9.8 is awesome though! Congrats, and I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see it.nonplayer wrote:I was lucky and got Harby wars #4 bleeding monk variant. Not Valiant, but I already bought my first Seattle collection with the proceeds from recent sales. Not a bargain, but a decent price, especially for 43 issues of one of Marvel's key silver titles.

Oldest issue is #12. First appearances of Hawkeye and Black Widow, among others (Modok, Mandarin). A couple of the early appearances of the original armor. Pretty sweet collection. Mostly 4.0-6.0, with a few higher or lower.
