Sometimes you'd like there to be a little more clarity. But it really is nice to have something so different on the shelves. You should check out Michel Fiffe's self-published Copra. It's more straight forward but I think it would appeal to fans of Prophet.

In the metal debate, where does Leslie West and Mountain fit in. I'm not a big metal guy but I've often heard them mentioned as one of the precursors to metal.
Thanks Dirt!!! Yes, it's unlike anything on the shelves; it reminds me at times of my experience reading the defunct and short-lived "Automatic Kafka" book from Wildstorm many, many years ago...in that at that particular time, I hadn't experienced artwork and story like that. You can't have expectations with "Prophet" and i've found that going into each issue blindly makes for a better read :)

I'll check out Copra sometime; thank you for the recommendation!
Enjoyed the episode guys! Jonesy - wanted to point out that I've been advocating for Copra since 2013. I think we have similar tastes and thought you would enjoy it. It's a really inventive book and I love the design and approach.

I agree Dr. Eclipse is too tied to Solar especially his name. Made me think who would Divinity's counterpart be -- Normality? Divinity faces the threat of Normality!

Got very emotional listening to OTV 199 ... much love to Elveen and the OTV fam. You sounded great.

And I agree with your insights on Divinity. He may have the power of a God .. but his emotional and philosophical state I think limits his abilities. And perhaps what happened to him in the UNKNOWN ingrained those limitations into his very DNA. Its a bit of splitting hairs .. but I saw your point.

Can't wait to hear more episodes from you -- be well.

Just listened to episode 200.
Well done, and thanks for all the podcasts, hoping for another 200 in the next 4 years.
That gives you 2 weeks off a year. :P
If you manage that, I will send a bag of prok scratchings to each of you.

Really great effort guys.

So, here's our latest, all about Dead Drop. Plus, a little announcement about the future of OTV at the end:

I skipped to the end since I am behind on books, but..........ummmm :o BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. No I get it, not complaining, really wish this was the April fools joke, but I understand things happen and lives change. It has been an awesome ride listening to you guys share your valiant love, stories, guests and knowledge. :thumb: I like the Eagles reference, maybe you'll get a screening of the movies with Dinesh and other Valiant crew so we'll get custom commentary

Halfway through it, but just wanted to say that Chiclo's "pitch" for a Beta-Max series is 1,000 times more interesting than this series (DD)

edit - All the best in your future projects, I will miss this when it comes to an end.

After listening to the latest OTV podcast, I have to share some feelings about the news dropped at the end of the episode.
I know you guys started this podcast for fun, or out of boredom, or whatever the case may be, but it has grown into so much more than that.
OTV is a gateway into the Valiant universe old and new. What you need to know from the past and what we are discovering together in the future, OTV is Valiants only media source at the moment being so unknown and is instrumental in gaining and keeping new fans.
After discovering OTV's backlog of episodes, my love for Valiant and comics in general was reborn.
Valiant being so niche to begin with, I doubt a lot of people get to talk about it to others who are interested in a real world basis and that is why me and I'm sure many others tune in to get that discussion that I'm missing in my life.
The insights into the convention life, your guys' reactions to the new books, and the backlog of immense knowledge should not be taken for granted or forgotten. I'll miss you guys.

Also, I nominate Chris to host either VCR or OTV to continue to breathe life into the legacy that is Only The Valiant with a rotating cast of OG Valiant members.

Take care and hope to hear from you guys soon.

At this point, we're pretty sure we are still going to continue on with the VCR review episodes of OTV, at the very least. Chris & Sean & I intend to be the main hosts still, along with MarkRosehfx, KXXX and whoever else may drop in as a fill-in for anyone who can't make it for any given week.

I know what you mean about the main show with the original OTV crew though - especially when they do creator interviews or "thoughts from the con floor" type episodes. It's a connection point that will be missed.
