Yeah ... he's probably a good guy but i don't get the cynicism.

He actually asked straight out - why I wanted so many signed.

Shooter could have signed 20 of my books and he wouldn't have batted an eye (I only got 4 of my books signed by him -- I wish I got more)

I'm actually *SQUEE* that I didn't get more copies of the X-O book signed ...

I have your copy by the way -- i'll give it to you the next time we hang out.

I recently asked Dave Dorman to sign 15 copies of the Magnus Yearbook. I asked him first if he felt comfortable, and mentioned that I was going to share them with the board (which I will, when I eventually find them after the move). He was generally cool about it. But, I can see how others might not be. I tend not to get the same issue signed more than once. I feel bad when I give someone a huge run of issues. I like to have whole runs signed. I think it's fun to collect things like that, but I do feel like I burden the artist. I did that with Paolo and The Valiant. I didn't have #4 yet, but I gave him a number of issues to sign.

I probably could have better explained up front to Dekal - what these copies were for. I did explain after he questioned me - and he was fine with signing them after that.
