Hi and welcome to a fellow San Rafaelite (well, I've moved away).
dredging up old valiant art is tough, some never got returned to the pencillers and inkers at the time. Too bad. Some one has the covers I did with Evel...

This subject comes up now and then. As an art collector it is unnerving. How common was it? Do you know of any specific art (apart from what you mentioned above) to stay away from?

Why not?
I'm currently working on 2 movie projects(storyboards/concept art) for 20th Century and that keeps me quite busy but drawing some of this stuff again brings a smile to my face.
I'll post a pin-up i started this morning later on today.

you guys should go thru and check out the other stuff there...some of those guys have really interesting styles.

anthony, i dug your pencils before but your "new" style is quite cool.

if you ever free up some time in your schedule (storyboards for movies...ya lucky *SQUEE*...lol) i predict you could make a decent amount of extra spendin' money from the boards here...

we're all fanboys extraordinaire!

i checked my comic database and the books i have anthony as penciller on are as follows:

bloodshot #26
bloodshot #43
secret weapons #17
timewalker #6
timewalker #7
timewalker #8
timewalker #15

now i'm not saying i'm 100% right, but i went thru all my books and entered the artists and writers into my database.

That's about right. I did do some stuff in other books(uncredited). At one point I was helping out several pencilers.
It seems like it was yesterday.
Thanks for the compliments by the way, you never really notice a change in your style until someone points it out. Thanks again.
I'n not too familiar with the commission scene, so i'll ask around.

MAC, while he is too shy to say, was way too good, and fast! Anthony was awesome about being able to work fast and have the work still look nice and solid. I've only seen a few faster people in my time in the biz.

Thank you Charles.
And it goes without saying that you are no slouch in the inking department.
Damn, the stories we could tell.
By the way Charles, here a link where I have been posting images. Let me know what you think.

Kevin-
Thanks. I went over to your site and i must say congrats!!
It looks like i wasn't the only one who realized movies and television was the way to go.
I'm glad you like the comicbook stuf.i mostly work on storyboards and concept art so drawing these guys again is like coming home.
By the way, i have to apologize to you, in regards to BLOODSHOT. I could've done better.
Regards,

Hey, Anthony--I thought you did a great job. It would've been fun to do a longer run together to find the best inker for you.

I would've paid money out of my own pocket to get someone like Terry Austin or P.Craig Russell.

Congrats on the cool work you're doing. We should hook up sometime out here on the Left Coast.

Best,
KV

Nice to see you on the boards Anthony. Did I read might take commissions? :D You did a few uncut sketchagraph cards for my a few years ago and a very nice Avengers piece. For those of you who don't know sketchagraphs were actual original drawings (trading card size) that were put in packs of Fleer Marvel Creators Collection (2000) as insert cards (one per box). Anthony Castrillo's are some of the BEST (if not THE best IMO). Check these out...

Ron or anyone, do you know where to get those sketchcard blanks. I would like to get a couple of dozen to send off for commissions of cards!

Kevin- I'll take you up on that, and for the record Anibal did a great job, I haven't seen the book since but i cringe just thinking about it. oh well, you learn and move on.
Ron-yes, i just started taking them on., If you go to the digital webbing sit and look under ARTIST SHOWCASE you'll find my thread:VALIANT HEROES. Check it out.
I.m still trying to figure out posting images so once i do you'll see the new commissions.

speaking of commisions, what's a good price range...i'm very new to the commision scene and i'd love to get something done by anthony but i don't want to insult him by offering half of what a normal commission runs.

all the stuff i've got were con sketches...they ran about $40 to $60. is that in line for a commission? what's the difference between a the two?

That's sounds fair for a single pose piece.Remember, it's the amount of stuff on the page that adds to the value. Then of course you have guys like BWS and the like(though i doubt he does commissions) that charge in the
hundreds.

I have not seen a blank one in a few years, which sold for $80 :o Some artists who did sketchagraphs had some blanks left over but doubt they have any left as the rabid sketch card collectors (myself included) had them do commission pieces.

You can try contacting some of these artists to find out if they might have any left...
