It looks very similar, but it is not identical. Wonder if maybe Gonzalo himself made a guide and then a new original was pointed based on that guide? Or could it even be an oil painting (there's some drops on it that doesn't look like the normal water paint)? I'll ask the seller if he knows more.

Especially "dude." And "balls." Those terms work in the tech industry.

This cover seems to have the most recreations. Something doesn't look quite right with this, especially as the colors look like they are on a comic board.

This was briefly discussed a while back when the pencil prelim to Magnus #12 cover went up on auction on ebay. I was fortunate to win the pencil prelim after a substantial price drop when the seller ( Sparkle City Comics) relisted it. Link: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42702

This color one in question is a painting and indeed the one used to produce Magnus #12, but as Gonzalo had mentioned in an email to me, it was the actual color prelim or rather study used for producing the final cover. The published cover was colored with computer so this was used as a study guide. According to Gonzalo, there were 3 pieces of art used to produce Magnus #12 cover:

1) Pencil Prelim
2) Color Painting Study Guide
3) Final Ink Art ( Done from pencil prelim)

Again, the final ink art image was colored by computer and used as the final cover.
