Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
I would imagine it's worth a lot. Single pages routinely ask around & 450. I could see a splash like this be twice that. But, you never know. Some will pay more, others less. Then you have to offer enough to entice the seller.

If I just can't be me ,and the Arrow isn't enough.. then maybe I should be Ra's al Ghul

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
Thank You All. I went to the Comic Art Con this Sunday in Secaucus NJ.
The asking price for this was $800.00 which to me seemed too high, but apparently not as ridiculous as I thought. I was thinking around $450.00 max.
As much as I want this page I am going to pass, with NYCC coming up
Jay I sent you a PM.

That's a great page. I'm pretty tempted.

Did you make them an offer before you passed on it? A lot of time the asking price has some wiggle room, it's a least worth a try. It is a nice action page.

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
I would strongly consider tossing out an offer if you are interested. You never know?
They last 3 offers I tossed out to sellers were accepted. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it's free to ask, and much like a good prom date, you just might get lucky!

Did you tell him asking was $800.00 at the Comic Art Con?

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
In all fairness, $1200 might have been their retail price, and $800 their "boy we need to sell this as the con wasn't doing as well" price.

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
If anyone is interested in this page Bechara (Nostalgic Investments) http://nostalgicinvestments.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has it. Its not on his site. Your best bet would be to call him, he is flaky when it comes to E-mails. His asking price at the Comic Art Con was $800.00. He doesn't know anything about this page...what Valiant what Rai or who Joe St. Pierre are. He said he bought it from someone who told him it was very rare.

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
lol All original pages are "rare"
I have a couple of similar Rai Splashes and $1500 would be the least I would even consider if I was desperate for $. (out of the 150 pages in my personal collection these would be some of the last I would want to sell. I love the heck out of them)

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
Mine are earlier and more iconic though. Honestly $800 isn't a bad price for that one at all in my opinion. That's from the 1st ongoing and not from the Magnus/Rai flipbooks right?

Re: Rai #2 P.1 Inquiry
I would have gladly paid $800 for that before acquiring the other Rai pages I have. That is a really good one.
