How do you store color art?
For inks, I store them in Itoya art portfolio. For color art (with the color, overlay, and sometimes approval page), how do you store them? Do you separate them out or just leave all 2-3 pages taped together? For now, I am just storing 5-10 color pages in plastic bags. I'd like to be able to flip through them once in a while (like in the Itoya art portfolios) but want to keep each set intact as well. Just wondering how everyone else is storing their color art.

I had them bagged and boarded, but I recently moved to Itoya portfolios. I flip over the paper page to leave the color art exposed.

I have them in magazine folders, the pages taped together as they were when I got them. And of course away from sunshine.
Those that are too big for the folders I store flat in a drawer.

Good idea about the flipping of the cover pages. When you do that, does the tape stick to the portfolio page?

Sometimes, but depending on the art, it would do it anyway for me. I've had some where the tape is sticking out on the back, or they were taped unevenly.

Yep. I rarely open those portfolios, though, so it's not a problem. They stay closed and flat for months (years) at a time.iggy101us wrote:Good idea about the flipping of the cover pages. When you do that, does the tape stick to the portfolio page?

I have a few that I really like, important moments. I want to frame them but something will get lost when you can't flip through them. I have not figured out how to do it yet in a way that would make them "work".
