It went for $2,100, which seems very healthy to me!

I went for it. Would have suited well in my collection but it was not meant to be. Someone really, really wanted it. I wonder if possibly speculation that Ditko could have been involved increased the price.

There was also a BWS Wizard piece for sale, which of course went for a lot more (http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7 ... IdNo=13014" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

I went for both X-O and Magnus pieces as well but once it went above $1000 each, it was sky rocketing.

I bid around $500 on each. I did not expect to win but they went for considerably higher than I thought.

I went for the X-O wizard cover by BWS, was the high Internet bidder for a while. I dropped out during the live bidding, but it went about what I thought it would. Not many BWS covers available, and its a nice large image.

Yeah, I think the Ditko possibility influenced the Magnus cover.
If he'd actually penciled and inked it, thats about what it would be, right? 2k ish. I think his charlton covers are that at auction (pre-dealer markup).

Yes, probably around there by now. The cover for issue 18 was slightly less a couple of years ago.

Would have been neat if either cover had went to a member here.

Don't remind me about the Magnus 18 cover . . .
