Nice new Solar Splash I got today!

Met today with the awesome Kevin Van Hook, picked up this BEAUTIFUL Solar splash page by Peter Grau. Talked for a couple of hours, so awesome to meet the writer to pretty much defined one of my 2 favorite characters. And the page is so freaking sweet.

Love that piece. But I hate when the word balloons fall of. Ugly glue stains.

Yeah, me two. I will have to look at them and see if I can glue on white pieces on top. Hate the way they look.

So I opened the frame, and the Word Balloon squares literally fell off. Except there is yellow glue residue on the page itself, not as bad as before abut still visible. Anyone know how to safely remove some or most of it? I have been looking online but not finding answers.

No safe way at all. Try re-creating the word balloons and sticking them in place of the missing ones.

Awesome page!! I have several OA pages with the glue residue and have never found a safe removal method. There was one that was briefly discussed on the board a few years ago but IIRC a professional comic artist posted that the product being discussed actually could cause damage to the paper and art.
