A couple things I contemplate about this piece...
American history Civil War piece with Archer & Armstrong.
Valiant always did a good job embedding some of their characters within historic eras. I love how it's got both EW and A&A in it.
It’s Gulacy, a highly regarded comic book illustrator with a very distinct style. His first Valiant work? He later had some nice arcs on Turok and Eternal Warrior.
It tells a story in one page/pin-up and leaves you wanting to know more.
Did they pick a side or just stuck in the middle as usual? What's Archer doing there? Time travel? Fantasy piece?
Crazy carnage! Valiant wasn't afraid to show it!
Anyway, just rampling. I put this one in a frame and on my wall today.
