Protecting your Art
I was just wondering how everyone else takes care of and stores their art. Besides framing, the other methods Ive seen are storing them in large size mylar bags, and storing them in large sized art notebooks. The only people I have dealt with are at bagsunlimited, any other good storage ideas?

Good question! I get my bags from bagsunlimited too.
I keep my covers, splash pages, & key pages all in portfollio style
books and the rest stacked up in priority mail boxes.
When the Sam Goody I was working at went out of business,
I was able to purchase a smaller locking sliding door cabinet.
It feels better to keep my collection under lock & key

What's not framed is in Map Chests. These look like a small chest of drawers, but it odd shapped. I have an antique one (from the old railroad days when they stored all of their maps this way) but I've seen some more recent wood ones and some metal ones. All art is kept in plastic sleeves from bagsunlimited.

uruchuu wrote: What brand and type of portfolio books are you using? Ive seen some for very large sized canvas pieces, but not many for the standard art board sized.
I found some at my local Hobby Lobby called ITOYA Art Profolio.
Here's a link to their site that features them:

You can get them in 11"x17" which is the size of most original ink art pages.
However, I like the 14"x17" size as some art is a bit larger and it makes it easier to turn the pages once the book is full.
I hope this helps!
