Great Resource for Valiant Art Scans (www.comicartfans.com)

Post by dino »

I think this used to be the lowry gallery but they've redone thier site and moved urls.

http://www.comicartfans.com

At any rate its an incredible site. Some stunning valiant art scans are avaliable, like the covers to Solar #3, X-O Manowar #4, Unity #0, colour art to Solar #1, Rai #3, Magnus #0 and tons of pages from A&O etc.

check out these very impressive gallerys:

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryRoom.asp?GSub=2973

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=62 (our own MagnusR)

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=98 (x-o matic)

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=2208 (mine)

http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=1445

There's quite a bit more spread about the site.

Thats some great stuff! Its becoming harder to track down things so nice.

By the way, what model scanner did you use to scan in your material? I know some people lasercopy reduce the art then scan that in, but is there a good large bed scanner that is more popular?

Who's Rick Loshiavo?

If the cover of Unity were up right now, what would everyone's max bids be? Just curious.

Yeah, I was semi-kidding. Would you scrape together every penny you could find to buy the Unity #1 cover?

btw-Is Rick (the owner of Unity #0) a memeber of the board?

I would sell all my doubles (except my unity reds) to buy that piece. I don't want to ask what the owner even wants for it because deep down I don't want him to sell. I can't live in a world where someone would sell that piece.

I don't think he is a member of the boards.

Dino,

On your comicartfans.com link, why don't you have any of your covers up? Those would be cool to see.
