This just sold off BWS's site last year (anyone remember the price?). This will be an interesting one to watch.

Someone, quick, loan me $400! Damn, I would love to own a piece of the Unity Series. Perhaps in the future I can come up with a few extra dollar :o

I feel it is a high starting bid. I think he would have better luck starting lower and having a reserve. I know I would not bid 400.00 for it.

I agree. While it's a fantastic piece, I'd never pay that much for
a page unless it was an important splash or a cover.

I really wanted that BWS Eternal Warrior #6 cover, and someone bought it right before someone pointed me to it from the old boards. DOH! One of my favorite Valiant covers.

It might be splitting hairs to call that the cover art, when they did eventually add other items to the background, I dunno. I'm just going by what BWS says, or maybe more accurately - those who run his art gallery.

I dont want to argue with those running the gallery but there are alot of differences with that piece and the final cover - there are more spikes on the glove, his arm is hidden behind his chest more, there are more tatoos and they are of different design then the ones in that image, his ear is pointed etc. I dont know much about the process of getting art to print but shouldnt it look exactly the same if it was the piece used for the cover?

I've always been curious about this one. Most of the time the inks
go right over the pencil art. Sometimes tho' a lightbox may be used
to do the inks thus preserving the original pencils (and making minor changes).
If that was the case, the pencil version and ink version, I'd imagine, could both be considered as the cover art.
In any event, it's a nice piece either way :)
