Comparing the 2 lists --clever me-- it looks to be complete.

Hm, seems like the Charlemagne and the later GG issues are the most HTF.

The only one I already have is one with text only which is why I never really bothered picking up the other ones.

Is this reading order recommended? Like WD #2 before WD #1? (Seems odd?!?)

Is this a complete list? Has the trade something that isn't in the floppies (because it's listed)?

Damn, so much more reading to do.....
No need to read War Dancer 2 at the start (and that is only referring to a few pages in the issue. The rest of the issue needs to be read after #1. This was my reading order when I did it recently. Fairly similar to the one you linked to.

Thx.

Oh, I just realized their are zero issues.

Is it correct that the Plasm Zero Card Set Album doesn't actually have the Plasm #0 issue in it? And no actual cards either?

But a Splatterball one-shot? Where does it fit into the reading order?

The Plasm zero album doesn’t come with cards. You need to either buy the cards separately from the album or buy the copy bound into previews. Same for Dark Dominion. The binder does come with Splatterball which you could basically read anytime as it doesn’t tie in with anything. I suppose after Plasm 1-4 would make the most sense but it doesn’t really matter.

I've got my last two missing issues on their way and getting this together to read, so thank you. Couple questions.

What is Timeline?

Where do the following fall in?

Grimmax
Birth of the Defiant Universe
Origin of the Defiant Universe
Good Guys #1.5
Defiant Genesis

Are there scans anywhere of Glory #0 or Birth?

Grimmax
Birth of the Defiant Universe - read any time
Origin of the Defiant Universe - read any time
Good Guys #1.5 Don't recall when I read it, likely anytime after issue 2 would be fine.
Defiant Genesis Don't it matters when you read it

Are there scans anywhere of Glory #0 or Birth?
Glory 0 can be found at https://www.shooterswork.com/defiant/glory.htm

Birth of the Defiant Universe - doubt any non copy-write infringement scans exist.

Birth was a promotional comic. Who cares?

I found a PDF here.......http://defiant.x10.bz/Defiant_Reading_R ... _room.html

Not sure how official shooterswork.com is but it does link to the "Unofficial Defiant Archive".

Genesis features the origin story of the Defiant Universe in general. Birth introduces the different series and characters; more like extended solicitations. Both are rather quick but good reads.

Timeline seems to be this......https://www.shooterswork.com/mirror/Def ... eline.html

I'm still about to start reading Defiant myself......any minute now. Birth & Genesis are the only 2 things I've read thus far. :P

Atm, I'm re-reading VH-1's HARD Corps.

Thanks to you both. I assumed a few of these were solicit-like material, but at this point, would like to read it all, you know?

Birth, Origin, and Genesis all at the beginning like a primer then?

Good Guys #1.5 after #2?

Anyone know about Grimmax?

Just waiting on my last two issues to arrive and then I'll knock it all out. Probably start after reading this Wednesday's small new comic book day pull. Currently halfway through First's Jon Sable, Freelance run. I'll put that on pause for Defiant though.

Why would you do that to yourself?

Yes, like a primer.

Origin is just a reprint of Genesis which was a freebie at ComicFest '93. Same content, different cover.

At the end of Good Guys #1.5 it says "the events herein take place just before GG #2" hence the #1.5.

Grimmax don't know. Like Splatterball it's just an extra I guess. Grimmax is also one of the final publication of anything Defiant. I'm gonna read it at the very end.

For this I have a perfectly logical explanation: nerdy research.

I decided I wanted to add the Harbinger-related powers in my database.

Just like I have a list of all the things conjured by Owen Cho.

Chronologically 1.5 is between 1 and 2 but came out later and iirc assumes you have knowledge of the characters beyond issue 1 (also iirc it is a pretty weak issue).

Well then I will read 3 pages after each issue of the GG. :P
