Re-reading: Eternal Warrior #22

Post by xoken »

I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do

For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.

The voting (I'm hoping) will help new readers make more educated descisions. If this turkey files maybe we can even do a list of the books according to average voting grade.

Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

liked this better than the last few issues. Decent art and colors, story isn't to bad. Prelude is a good lead in to the main story. Gil has good raport with Geoff and Geoff wasn't such a whiner this time out...8
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

"I will find the necromancer and destroy these books of evil!"

"In your dreams, Geo-jerk!"

Such great dialog :|

I seperate my Valiant comics into two boxes. One that has all the aspects of VH-1 I really, really enjoyed: all my Shooter comics, the entire run of Shadowman, and all Master Darque appearances. And then their's a box with everything else in it. Despite the Darque appearance, this comic went in the "everything else" box.

It's just bland. Nitro and Vise are uninteresting. Darque just feels overused here. The art is only okay. We even have a prologue with a necromancer that can mutate people which undermines the whole thing in EW 1 were Gil hadn't seen anything he couldn't explain before modern times.

But still it's no worse than your average, lack luster comic. So a 5.
