Re: Re-Reading HARD Corps #16
For some reason the issues at fictional amusement parks gets bad. Some moments in this issue, but all and all uninteresting.

Issue #16, Really bad Cover for this issue. This has to be the worst H.A.R.D. Corps Cover. Story not really strong, but kind of fits, cause now that Harada is in a Coma. Omen’s Member Companies are trying to figure out how to utilize their investment in the H.A.R.D. Corps, and this issue kind of explains what kind of missions they’ll be doing with Harada out of the way.
Like I stated in a previous review, is Omen really worried about making the world a better place, or are they more worried about countering other organizations influences that threaten the financial interest of Omen’s member companies. Could be a lead up to the future Corporate Wars.
I’ve included below some of my random notes from re-reading this issue:
Mission of this Issue: Protect Mr. Dubrovsky and escort him to an Omen Enterprise’s safe house in North Dakota.
Mr. Dubrovsky is a defector from Dr. Silk’s “Webnet” Criminal Organization after Dr. Silk kills his wife and child.
Ditsy World Organization is another member company of Omen Enterprises. Now we know something of at least 3 member companies of Omen.
New Power Mode Seen:
“Jolt Mode” Sends short electrical jolts through surfaces that are touched.
Mr. Dubrovsky is killed falling off a Ditsy World Building while he’s trying to save a little girl from Dr. Silk’s Ninja assassins at Ditsy World. Dr. Silk didn't want to kill Mr. Dubrovsky, but wanted him back to show his other minions that know one can leave "Webnet."
This is the worst art work issue for the H.A.R.D. Corps series. This is the actual point for this series downward spiral. I would have give it a 2 out of 5, because the story made a little sense that the H.A.R.D. Corps were directing their attention to new enemies since Harada is in a coma now, but the art work was so low grade I had to give it a 1. 1/5
