The series began to get a little "wonky" here.

Some fighting. Solid info on Otherman. First test panel for Valiant Vision (last panel of the book). A bit better than last issue but still does not do much for me.

Issue #12, has decent art with some good panels that stand out. The best part of this issue is the story. The stories that seem to stand out the most is when the writers incorporate story details from previous issue, as was done in this issue with the cross-relationship between: “Other Man,” “H.A.R.D. Corps,” and the deceased “Big Boy” from issue #2, along with pulling in new information from Omen Enterprises Member Companies.

I’ve included below some of my random notes from re-reading this issue:

We learn that one of the member companies that started Omen Enterprises to counter the Harbinger Foundation’s plans is a company called “Rockytop,” which has a Research Complex in East Tennessee near Knoxville, where this facility center is responsible for Information Gathering and Dispersal.

There is also another Omen Enterprise Member company located in Iowa

Mission of this Issue: Go to Rockytop facility to determine if “Other Man” has been the one stealing classified files from this facility.
Sub-Mission of this Issue: Sam “Flatline” is to go to Iowa to see if the Harbinger Foundation is preventing an Omen Enterprise member company, located in Iowa from expanding its facility.

We learn that along with “Softcore (Ellen),” and “Lifeline (Cheryl),” there is another Neural Implant Controller by the call sign of “Safeguard.”

We learn that in the H.A.R.D. Corps destroying “Other Man” in this issue, that “Other Man” was really just a vehicle that was controlled by the Deceased “Big Boy’s” older brother. Big Boy’s older brother was controlling possibly a non-alive device/vehicle that the H.A.R.D. Corps referred to as “Other Man,” to seek revenge on the H.A.R.D. Corps for killing his little brother “Big Boy.”
The older brother was controlling “Other Man” remotely from his location in Georgia.

We also learn that in Iowa, Sam discovers the Harbinger Foundation has an underground facility below a farm in Iowa that is storing, what seems to be bodies in suspended animation.

Overall a good story that builds on background details from previous issues, and sets up for a possible follow-up on both Big Boy's brother, and the bodies stored under the farm. 3/5

3/5

Wish I could have seen more of Sam's mission. Other than that a middle of the road issue.
