Shadowman storyline
Besides the regular issues what crossover issues do I need to completely read Shadowman from start to finish?

Re: Shadowman storyline
You can live without them but here are the issues that directly tie into the series:queenbeej wrote:Besides the regular issues what crossover issues do I need to completely read Shadowman from start to finish?
Unity 1
Dr Mirage 5 (The Dr Mirage x-over actually makes more sense without this issue, but if you're looking to be complete...)
Secrets of the Valiant Universe 2
Archer & Armstrong 21 & 22 (painful reads, but agian for completeness sake...)
Chaos Effect Alpha (maybe, I think these events may get repeated in Shadowman)
X-O 42
And that's all I can think of.
Jack appears briefly in Secret Weapons 1 and 2 but it's never really addressed in the Shadowman series so it's easy to ignore.
He also appears briefly in the first Solar Unity issue but, since the same scene is shown in Shadowman with better art, it's another skipable appearance.
Jack's first cameo appearance is indeed in the background of a couple panels in X-O 4 (he's playing jazz in a club) but you absolutely don't need it to read Shadowman.

Yeah it was in it's own universe. That was kinda the point:). So, no, it definately has no relation to the Shadowman series.myron wrote:but is that even within his continuity?...that stuff was pretty disjoint
However, the Shadowman parts of Deathmate were some of the brighter spots in the crossover. They're decent reads just for the sake of having something to read.

Yeah It's a different univese for deathmate and not along the series line but if your wanting to read everything to do with shadowman that would include deatmate so that was the only reason i mentioned it just in case they'd want to check it out

Ha! Hadn't even thought of that one. Technically you wouldn't need it to read the series itself (Shadowman doesn't appear in the issue and is only mentioned in one panel!). However the first half of Rai 0 (up to Shadowman's death) does make a fitting epilog to the Shadowman series and gives it a bit more closure than the last issue of the series did.andrew wrote:Rai #0!
Plus Rai 0 is just a damn good read .

Thank you all
You guys have been great. My hard drive crash so I wasn't able to response until know. Again many thanks and now my search continues to find those crossovers.
