Because they gave Unity #1 a 8 out of 10?

Holy smokes.
Yikes. Is that a new record?
You don't remember when DC did the 51 variant covers?
Yeah, forgot about that.

Music companies offer money to pay certain songs on radio stations. That way specific songs get more
Publicity and exposure making the song more popular. I would have no doubt comic companies can do the same thing.

Man, this whole comic was *SQUEE*-on-skates save for the Bart Sears cover.

I think I'll flip through #2 at the LCS before making a decision, but unless it's a stark improvement, I'm walking away from this one altogether.

Still on board to try each of the books first issues though.

I can tell you right now that's not supposed to happen anymore.

Also read the book, not overly impressed more confused on what's going on, like the panels are all jumbled

I would never give Dynamite a penny, so I downloaded it for free and read it. Or tried to. It was, as pixierosa said, a hot mess. Very hard to follow what was happening. Hard to tell which character was which. No real character development other than Turok wants to be alone. The book just didn't make much sense. I glad I didn't waste good money on it. I have no desire to read the second issue even for free.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

The blank cover has had a problem are we surprised? Not really! Anyway its been reprinted and will be shipped to people who ordered it. It will probebly be the rarest of the covers. Fyi

Just read it and it was...sub par to say the least. If a reader couldn't care less if the main character is killed off then you're doing something wrong. I bought #2 before reading #1 so I'll give it a shot. Unless it's ten times better I'm done.

I actually liked #2 considerably more than issue #1.

To each their own though. I won't be continuing.

Yeah, it was definitely stronger. I liked it enough I'm giving it a few more issues. The most off-putting thing so far for me has been the dialog. I get why writers give modern voices to characters who are supposed to be in the past, but I think a more stuffy vernacular is preferable. Just seems silly here. Also, I feel like Andar and Turok have put their differences aside a little more quickly than anyone in real life ever would, even given the traumatic situation they find themselves in.

agreed, it's really annoying to read pre-Columbian native Americans using words like "right" and "ok" like modern teenagers. that just takes me out of the period.

I read issue 1 having not read ANY Turok book previously. Yes I'm a new fan. Still playing catchup. Shame on me.

So coming as a completely fresh reader:

This book made no sense. Absolutely none. If you have no context. No "assumptions". If you can't fill in the gaps with previous knowledge. It literally does not make sense. I'm not sure I've read many worse books.

it still doesn't make sense even if you've previously read Turok.
