Doctor Solar #3 didn't come out yesterday as scheduled, and the TFAW website still lists it as due October 6th. The top post on this thread now simply states "delayed" next to Doctor Solar #3.

Has Dark Horse been late with other titles in the recent past?

Not sure about late books but they do occasionally reschedule. For example, as I noted at DK, Fear Agent had the release dates for the last 2 issues moved back 3 months......Oct to Jan and Nov to Feb. On the other hand, DH has also been releasing some books ahead of schedule.

I recently saw a list of late books and DH I think was 4th on the list. Image of course had the most followed by DC. Don't recall the 3rd publisher.

I noticed while checking at TFAW this morning that all 3 books set for Oct 13th release have scans of the exact cover. DH has been posting the published cover 1-2 weeks in advance of the release. No such scan is posted yet for Solar #3. Something to consider.

Well it's just one delayed book, probably something on the art side.

But you have to wonder since all of Shooter's jobs tend to end like that.

Guess we'll have to see if Magnus #2 makes it out. The DH websited says Oct. 13.

I applaud Shooter for his historical contributions but his recent history suggests that the tales of his being impossible to work with might not just be the random complaints of the lazy and unmotivated. Or, it could all just be that somebody *SQUEE* up at the printers.

Looks like Magnus and Turok are still coming out next week, so must just be a Solar problem.

Could be that the quick change in artist has caused a bit of delay

What are you referring to? There were no delayed books involved with him being fired form Valiant that I recall. No delayed books when Defiant went under (just ones that didn't get published). Legion was not delayed that I recall.

There were delayed books at Broadway but the company was stuggling/going under. There was there delays on Unity 2000 #3 but ALL of Acclaim titles were suffering from massive delays and, unsurprisingly, a comic company that didn't to see be able to get their comics to press stopped folded soom after that and it's been very well documented that Shooter had absolutely nothing to do with the delays.

So unless you're worried Dark Horse is going under or somehow after more than two decades of publishing can't get their books out (which isn't the case, the rest of their stuff came out from what I understand) there really aren't even the slightest similarities here.

It's a one week delay on one tile, atleast according to Dark Horse's solicit. It's not the first time a Dark Horse solitation's been off. The Magnus Archive trade has had three different release dates that I've seen so far. Solar #2 was listed as having 40 pages when it only has 34. Magnus was listed as a miniseries in some solicitations when it's ongoing. Mistakes happen. It's not a big deal.

Titles are late or resceduled all the time. If series/lines/companies where in trouble everytime they missed a week or two we wouldn't have a comic industry left.

Thanks for keeping it updated. Your post has been a good resource for the release dates.
I'm wondering tho if we could keep the release dates of past books posted & archived still?
It may be helpful down the road to reference! :)

I am tracking the past and future DH arhives at http://dark-key.com/forum/index.php?topic=27.0

I include the issues that are being reprinted in each volume. If someone wants to link it or re-post it, I am OK with that. Or I can start a new thread here with the same info if you guys think it's useful.

No mention of Solar 3, however.
