FPS on screen aiming aid...
FPS gaming aid... I found these on Ebay and thought that they just might help with accuracy due to the fact that most First Person Shooters have what I call a roving crosshair. This means that when you are moving, or running or scanning your sector that the crosshairs expand until you stabilize either your air or your stance, even dropping to one knee in order to increase your accuracy. These lil mama-jammas are a crosshair that you 'cling' to your TV screen (aligning it with your in game crosshair at an exact point of accuracy) that may allow you to shoot from the hip or not require you to ADS (Aim Down Sight or use the 'Iron Sights'). This 'may' be helpful in a run and gun situation but I do not think will better the FPS games ability to 'lock on' when using ADS as today's games allow you to be off center mass and when you use ADS will lock on to your enemy either center mass or a head shot based on the vertical placement of your sight at the time of ADS.
I think I might try these to see if they can be of use... but I really think this will be a multiplayer advantage for the most part. And seeing as how clumsy I am in multiplayer and the frantic nature of the game, well it might help. Here is the video and the Ebay link.

And THESE guys look pretty legit and with the clearest material along with NOT using any ink, plus they can be purchased in different sizes.

So, anybody have any thoughts on this ? This is not groundbreaking info by any means but something kinda neat.

I have noticed these before but I don't think I play enough fps to bother. L4D is the only one I consistently go back too. I also find that most FPS want you to crouch or look down sites as it makes your crosshair more accurate/smaller. Without that I think you're probably just going to be spraying around that area on your screen.
Yeah I am not sure how that works exactly, i.e. if it IS more accurate if you crouch or ADS. I've seen guys play without using iron sights and doing just fine. It looked like they just knew where the rounds would land. These static cling decals might give one a better chance at situational awareness or at least where the 'spray' would be. And for someone who does not play that many FPS, of course it would not be of use to bother with it.ian_house wrote:I have noticed these before but I don't think I play enough fps to bother.
