I'm playing my new Midway Collection for X-Box these past few weekends. I've been playing all the games some but most of my time's been spent on Blaster, Spyhunter, Paperboy, and Robotron so far.
I've also been playing a lot of the Star Wars Plug and Play. I got the game key a few weeks ago and it's got this excellent platforming slasher with Yoda on there (It's in the same vein as Shadow of the Ninja or the 2-D Castlevania games). It's nice to play Yoda in a video game and actually be able to actually control him (if you played Ep 3 or Lego SW you know what I mean). I just beat it last weekend (those are 5 tough levels).

platforming is the bane of gaming...making a game hard for no apperant reason just plain sucks...I think that any game maker that uses platforming like that should have his thumbs removed...Byrneout wrote:I totally ABHOR the Raziel parts, where it turns into a super-complex platformer without rhyme or reason... but I want to know the END of the STORY, damn it all!Knightt wrote:Kicking my BUTT right now... so I went back to Crimson Skies.Byrneout wrote:- "Legacy Of Kain: Defiance" for XBOX

I still play FF8 every now and then... I guess it's my video game crack.oldjello wrote:Diablo for the regular Playstation.
That is crack... 8+ years of playing this game... and I still can't stop playing.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Todd, how easy is Robtron to play on a console? It seems that it would be difficult to move your man around.
I'm currently playing the NEW Super Mario Bros on the DS. It ROCKS...btw.
When I'm done with that, a friend lent me Zelda: Ocarina in Time that's playable on the GameCube. I've not played it and I've heard it's way cool.

Robotron's fine on X-Box, you've got two joysticks right there on the controller (you can also use the D pad and 4 buttons too). Of course, I did just fine with a D-pad and four buttons on the Super Nintendo version of Total Carnage too.david_albuq wrote:Todd, how easy is Robtron to play on a console? .
The funny thing about Robotron...Almost every game on the Midway Collection starts at level 5 difficulty (10 being the highest) by default and you can adjust it. I played Robotron a few times and got my *SQUEE* kicked by the sheer amount of enemies coming at you at insane speeds. The game's just friggin impossible (I got to wave 6 or so). Then I look at the defualt difficulty (to turn it down)...it was on 1 (out of 10) the entire time! Holy #$#&!

Boy oh boy did I pump some money into Robotron when it came out. It was the one and only game I played, where it felt like I was putting my whole body into playing it. If you ever played it at the arcade you know what I'm talking about. Hands, arms, shoulders, legs, feet...whoa, what a kinetic game that was.

On a general note: My wife finally beat Bloodrayne 2 last weekend and this weekend she's playing through Kinghts of the Republic...for the fifth time (that's app. 40 hours each!). The game's so addictive that I think the FDA is looking into it

I haven't seen the PC version yet, but if it's anywhere near as good as what the 360 version is, I bet it is awesome.BodaZoffa wrote:I don't think I've ever played a game with graphics this good. I'm guilty of having to call in sick in the past, because I was up until 3am playing some of these games. Damn you, Diablo! Damn you!
