Re: What video game are you currently playing?
I just landed the Infamous 2 plat after a very frustrating 3rd playthrough. Not because the game was hard, but I missed a trophy related to the side missions and had to replay nearly the entire game from start for the third time to get it and the plat with it. -ugh-
Now on to Infamous Festival of Blood and then one of the other 10 games I've got lying around here in the shrinkwrap... yeesh.

Re: What video game are you currently playing?
I purchased this when it came out as the whole vampire twist felt more interesting than the inFAMOUS 2 game as a whole. The new voice for Cole just grates on my nerves and while I appreciate the updated graphics, it didn't grab me like the inFAMOUS game (which I still have yet to finish).IMJ wrote:Now on to Infamous Festival of Blood
Three playthroughs ? You sure get your money's worth. I gotta admire that. My finished to unfinished game ratio is deeply stacked in the unfinished side of things.

Re: What video game are you currently playing?
yeah... I did one playthrough as "good", the next was "evil" (which goes by more quickly because you just mash through everything), and the third I just put the game on easy and only did the story missions until I got to the point I needed to do the trophy I was missing (the ice conduit double agent missions). All in all, you pretty much turn the game into a 3 hour run without doing any of the side missions, so it wasn't so bad.Knightt wrote:I purchased this when it came out as the whole vampire twist felt more interesting than the inFAMOUS 2 game as a whole. And Cole's voice? Yeah when I started playing prt 2 I noticed that it was tinnier or something than the first game, but the observation fades as you play. The Infamous series are fine games, but nothing you need to revisit once you land a platinum on them.

I'm playing Swords and Soldiers as a trophy gathering endeavor. It's a fun game, but nowhere near as awesome as Plants vs. Zombies (another tower storming style game). Hey. It was free with PS+, so it's sidetracked me from the pile of shrinkwrapped disc based games I've got sitting here.

Re: What video game are you currently playing?
Thought I would give Bionic Commando (360 version) a try. At five bucks, the price was right and I loved the original NES game. I was hoping the next gen would do it some justice, but graphically it looks like it was originally slated for a PS2 or Gamecube. Gameplay is a bit awkward and the weapons are very mediocre. The limited amount of ammo for them is kinda frustrating as well. The game looks like an open environment, but it pretty much steers you in a linear pattern and you can't get off the beaten path to explore anything.
The game has a lot potential that it doesn't live up unfortunately. It's not terrible, but you can definitely tell that the game was rushed and not much thought went into it. Worth the five bucks anyhow.
