I just wrapped up Shadows of Mordor last night. What a great game. Despite taking some liberties with the established LOTR mythology, they did a great job of weaving in the events of this game to make it feel like a part of the whole, and I found myself going over LOTR pages on Wikipedia to confirm what was and wasn't already established material.

Can't imagine how they will do a sequel, but it is left open enough for one.

Now, bring me Dragon Age: Inquisition!!
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in...

I totally forgot about SoM until you bring this up. Must buy this, just not sure if I should go for the PS4 deal right now. :hm:

I'm currently playing ChampMan 01/02, despite being 13 years old, it's still an awesome game. Allez Tsigalko!!!! :D

Just started Sniper Elite V2. That game is way more fun/guilty pleasure than it should be.

Dragon Age: Inquisition on Xbox 360 and PS3. There are some bugs (moth minor and major) but you get use to new combat system it's a lot of fun and damn the game is epic.

Finished up the latest Tomb Raider game. I was a bit skeptical about the whole reboot thing, but the gameplay mechanics and story were pretty decent. Resident Evil should take notes on how they approached the combat system. As I was playing certain areas, I kept getting a RE feel to the game, but without the clunky camera angles and lackluster weapons that have plagued the RE series for quite a while. Can't wait to see what the next installment brings.

Back to Skyrim. Making a Thieves' Guild leader as good as they come- screw combat, I'm all about pockets and lockpicks. Going for the 100,000 GP trophy. :thumb:

Best Game Ever.

EDIT- 15/12/2014. Back on RL. 18 days of playing this like crazy. Must stop now. I still have a couple of DLC's trophies to pick, but just need to marry a character and read 50 skill books to have 100% completion on the vanilla version. Finally got the Oblivion Walker one, I thought it was a PS3 bug, but this time no probs.

Already I am perusing through my old Dragon magazines in search of an inspiration to make a certain scimitar-dual wielding Drow Ranger come to life in the plane of Mundus.
facepalm

(honestly, one of the best parts of this game happens before you start playing- RPG a character "for Reals" is so much fun)

Finished with AC Black Flag and now I'm starting on AC Rogue (which so far is pretty much exactly the same).

Seemed like a much better game than AC 3. The combat is not so focused on clunky defensive moves as in the last installment. The sea exploration and ship combat are also a lot more interesting this time around. The story is still a little weak and I didn't care for the aspect of being a nameless Abstergo employee and found those missions to be nothing more than filler material (and it looks as if they are keeping it the same way with Rogue). Decent game overall and very lengthy with all of the side activities. Well worth the money.

I Just finished The Shining Force, a 21 year old pseudo-RPG for the sega genesis (I have it on the virtual wii). Pretty simple but tons of fun if you like old school games like me.

I never played Shadowgate, but the Google search makes it look pretty cool.

The first game was a blast, but never got to play the second due to them leaving out the Gamecube. Nice to see people still going back and playing old games like this.

Done with AC Rouge. The game is basically Black Flag 2.0 and the main story is incredibly short (when I reached the end, I thought they were trying to pull a fast one, but sadly no). A new main character is introduced and some tweaks and updates added to the gameplay, but it gets very repetitious, especially if you just finished the last game. Still a decent game, but just be aware that you should probably focus on the side missions, naval battles and upgrade as quickly as possible, due the short length of the main campaign. Not worth full price IMO, but if you can pick it up for 20 bucks then go for it.

I think it only ever did come out on the PS2, so probably quite a few people probably missed out. Might be wrong about that, not sure really. But yeah, it is fun picking up these old games again from time to time. I've also got Crash Bandicoot 2 lined up for when Shadowman's finished :)
