The most well known is Gothic Romances #1. Mid-grade copies have sold for over $100.

I haven't tried to collect the rest of the magazines, so no idea how tough they might be to come by.

What the color comics (i.e. Ironjaw, The Grim Ghost, The Brute and the rest) what's the average cost for them?

I couldn't quote you exact prices, but I've gotten the impression that these comics aren't bargain fodder and can bring up to $4 or $5 each in VF condition, except for Vicki which is insanely expensive ($15 or so an issue).

I could be entirely wrong.

Guess it depends, I've gotten all of my books very cheaply (2 X Vicki #1) and have quite a few dupes because when I see them I pick them up. Most that I have are in very good shape but some meet the minimum to be 'in my collection'.

The artwork and general layout on Pheonix was not even average and looked a bit like Mircale man with glowing lights and Kelly jones art on Grim Ghost was actually realy not very good at all :|

Lets hope they improve if they want to stay around and even expand.

Is that Liefiled - McFarlane - or Larsen Image?

I think scale send one to me YEARS ago, then I picked up another in an LCS for something like $4.00 (Vicki #1) and I can remember where I got the others. For something that I have no interest in reading, they sure are hard to find. I think they are VERY Archie like.

I guess Atlas-Seaboard was trying to tap onto the entire spectrum hoping to find a hit. I really am partial to the Atlas line.

Today I am rebating the entire collection into Mylite2 and Gerber boards. These make those old comics really pop !!

My next personal goal is to get another collection together and have them bound into hardcover books that is so trendy these days. I have promised myself that I will get this done. The entire collection can fit into a mere 3 bound books.

Nice score! Not sure if you paid for these or they were a gift, but if you did pay, what was the range of the price? I have none of these as I have yet to find them at a price that I like.

They were a gift from a fellow lifelong Atlas Fan.
