YES, you are correct, sir.
Yes but some of the news stand editions had different covers along with the UPC box that is missing on the direct editions :thumb:

Namely in The Protectors series, which had one UPC cover and a much better drawn direct edition.

Malibu Genesis is my second favorite line of all time.

I searched and don't see anything on the board to help, but what about the titles like Aircel's CAT & MOUSE. C&M appeared in later issues of the Protectors and are on the cover of GENESIS #0, making it a shared universe. Do they count? And DEMON? And SILVERSTORM?

And, lastly, does anyone collect the re-vitalized Silverline books? They brought back SILVER STORM (with a cameo by Demon!) and CYBERTRASH & THE DOG, which reunited Derenick and RA Jones? Do they count?

I guess that depends on the collector. I try to keep the lists 'centric' i.e. keeping in the same vein of stories, not including cameos or crossovers. But if the title is imperitive to universe, I can see how it could be added. I just would not want to add, lets say we use 'Deathmate' and because Cyberforce, Youngblood and a couple other Image characters showed up in the storyline to then include those Image books. Kind of a round about way of explaining things but does that make sense ?

Eternity is one of the old names for Malibu.

Some Ex-Mutants titles were published under names like Amazing, Pied Piper and Eternity too. As I understand it, those all either were the same company or merged into one company that eventually carried the Malibu name until Marvel bought them out.

I think that these were among some of the easiest and cheapest books to collect out of all the DUs. Not a single expensive book in the bunch.

But it's really frustrating trying to figure out how many Ex-Mutants books pre-date the Genesis imprint.

Sweet poster!

You'd mentioned in another thread that it was the Genesis line, but I don't think all of those characters are from the Genesis line, like the Dead Clown.

The cool thing about Malibu is that there's so much out there, not just comics but other stuff and it's so floojiggity cheap. I saw a Prime watch on eBay a week or so ago selling for $5.

How come "Mighty Magnor" isn't mentioned on the Malibu list?

Any fans of this series?

Well, the list is for the "Genesis" universe by Malibu Comics, not Malibu Comics in general. I've got a complete set of The Mighty Magnor. Anyone that is a Sergio Aragones/Groo fan should have these.

You got that right, Brother J! That series is a classic along with Groo. I still have my "pop up" first issue cover along with the rare promo poster.

There were a few more Magnor sequel pages printed in an Image Comics book which were pretty cool too. This year marks the 15th Anniversary of Mighty Magnor. I heard Dark Horse is suppossed to make a trade out of the original 6 issues.

My second copy has a very vague residue of an autograph. I don't know if it 'rubbed off' or they used a bad pen or what.

Story on the red logo... at one point I had never, ever seen one or heard of anyone having one (kinda like as proof). I would say this book is rather hard to get a hold of... just another variant.
