Just impressed with a bit of Neil Gaiman Norse Mythology

Post by Oxmyx »

I'm reading in the 2020 Dark Horse FCBD book, it's half of it.

Strikes me as almost non-fiction. Assuming it's faithfully retold. I had an illustrated Greek Myths book as a kid, and this really reminded me of that.
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

The book is well written too. If you have a chance to hear Gaiman do a reading from it, I highly recommend it.

I heard about this release. on the radio in the UK.
Seemed very interesting.

JCP, have you read it?
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I read his novel Norse Mythology, which he read selections from during a reading in Arizona last year. He said that the stories were a retelling of researched stories he understood were passed down orally from one generation to another, of course with a little Gaiman artistic liberty. I understand there is a U.K. dramatization, but I haven’t heard it yet. I have listened to the Sandman audio dramatization, and it’s excellent and well cast. It’s a unique experience to sort of close your eyes and imagine the telling instead of what the comics portrayed.
