Milestone Returns

Post by dornwolf »

So Milestone is back up and running officially

https://www.washingtonpost.com/arts-ent ... reddit.com

Come February they are doing digital first along with a Static Shock OGN. Plus a push to get the original stuff at least on digital.

Sounds good  .They kind of wrapped up the original storylines a few years back.
I-Only judge porn by the cover.

Huh? So DC is laying off a bunch of staff, canceling a bunch of books and moving a bunch more to digital only yet they are bringing Milestone back? :-?

I thought Milestone didn't sell that round the first go around. Other than Static Shock does anyone even know any of the characters?

I would think the limited time and money DC has would be better spent trying to right the ship and get their more well known properties to be doing well and then move on to the B and C list properties.

Bringing Static Shock back might make some sense given the cartoon exposure but the rest :-?

I wish DC the best of luck with this but I think it will just drive another nail in the coffin of DCs comics business.

Icon & Rocket - I think Kirkman's Invincible's dad's story shares some similarities with Icon. I enjoyed the relationship between Icon and Rocket. I probably liked this book better than Static Shock.

Hardware - I thought this was a poorly done Iron Man ripoff but I may need to give it a reread.

I can't remember anything about Xombi, Blood Syndicate, or Kobalt...

If they could, it would be probably be a move to introduce Static Shock on the Black Lightning TV show to give him more exposure and hopefully generate interest in the character.

Icon and Rocket along with Hardware are the only ones most people are interested in. Everbody else :?

I for one am one of those people. Static, Icon, Hardware are the only ones I know know and have any real interest in.

I remember reading that 90s schlock. I found it pretty uninspired. Maybe forced. I share David’s thoughts, but I know this was in the works for a long time, before layoffs.
