Which moment in comics pulled a superhero universe together?
What single moment in superhero comic books do you think pulled together the heroes of a universe more than any other?

I'll cheat a wee bit.
JLA's World War III finale. It is one entire "superhero universe" pulled together.

Wow.... really unique thread here.
You know what? I'm going to come out of left field and call one that most people wouldn't expect. The Industrial Revolution story arc from the Heroe's Reborn vol 2 Marvel books did this very well. It only unfolds across a handful of titles, but it brought the Marvel-Image U into cohesion in a really unique way, as the Avengers and the FF "meet" to stop the Hulk from opening a nuclear reactor. And it was also first time (and then really the only unique time) that freshness was created on an aging line by bringing characters together again for the first time, so to speak.
The universe building in those small Marvel books was done better than even the more popular Ultimates books a few years later. Basically, "re-meetings" like this have been copied for twenty years now, but outside of an obscure DC Crisis-style event, this was really one of the first times this was done and actually felt fresh. "Coming together again for the first time". And the event created the continuity for the books that lasted the rest of the 13 issue runs of most titles.
And so I'm throwing one in there as "a" pick, not necessarily "the" pick.

I think the Onslaught storyline followed by the relaunch of the Marvel universe is an underrated part of comic book history. It’s greatly important.
