From the people who brought you Milestone and Quantum & Woody...going to drop 7 titles over 7 months following FCBD special. Got some good names attached. Could be good.

Will be really good. I will let you know tomorrow after I read the first couple of issues, but i am really excited for this universe. Some friends are involved so don't count out exclusives, etc.

A superhero Universe with a ''real world mentality''. Sounds like the concept Shooter used for the New Universe and Valiant.

Just saw this Universe ''blends pure science fiction with superheroics but with a real world mentality.'' Sounds like Shooter's concept for DEFIANT.

I will check out the FCBD issue and see it if strikes my interest.

First title announced:

https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/02/08 ... -may-2017/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Event sounds a bit like the Ultraverse, where all/most of the characters gained their abilities from a single event.

Of course a black Astronaut returning from space with superpowers sounds awfully familiar...

Art looks good though...that's always a concern with a small publisher for me...some Boom, IDW and Dynamite books can have *SQUEE* poor art at times, which can ruin a decent concept.

The New Universe had The White Event, when powers were given to a finite number of individuals.

New Universe was just a tad before my comic reading time. Not as though either was completely original. The idea of an igniting event has been around for a long time.

They do seem to be drawing a lot from the New Universe/Valiant/Ultraverse/Milestone templates of the 90s.

Ditto that, and maybe let an arc or two get published before checking this out any further. Not sure what it is, but something about the line makes me expect many delays. Not sure why.

OMG they're SJW comics! Oh lord the world will end because we have to put up with with black, Hispanic, disabled, and female superheroes and none of these new heroes are white, straight, male characters![/extreme sarcasm

Just thought I would get that crap out of the way.

How will we know which ones are the villains if they are all... *whispers* minorities?

I mean, the good guys are all like purple-skinned or Cardassians, right?

Hopefully it succeeds and they stick with it. Too many really good ideas have been brought to an end due not wanting to stick with it.

The last four titles were announced. Two others deal with astronauts from the failed mission to stop an asteroid and there are more SJW leads.

First issue of Noble dropped this week. Did anyone read it?

They also have their FCBD issue coming out tomorrow. Might check that out first before giving the line a try.

I'm planning on trying their FCBD issue. If Noble is at my LCS (kind of doubt it) I might pick it up.

I really liked first issue of Noble. All action, just enough hints of back story. Great books.
