There are only two stories: a person goes on a journey, or a stranger comes to town.

:hm: I heard there were only 3 types of stories: (1) a person has to find something, (2) a person has to complete a task within a time limit, or (3) a person who has to find something has to find it within a time limit!

I'm currently subscribed to Conan:Avenger at DH and Savage Sword. I like sword and sorcerer comics as long as they are bloody, gritty, and brutal macho man stuff. I prefer less magic, more decapitations and maimings. Basically anything that feels like the first Conan the Barbarian movie is cream cheese with me.

I don't mind magic, so long as it's not the central focus of the plot or story

Sword of Sorcery Say what you about DC since they debuted the "New 52" but they have taken some gambles and while this one didn't quite work out it's a decent read and good artwork.
I also really enjoyed this and the way it was tying Eclipso into the mythology at the end of the story was great fun.
Was very disappointed to see it get axed.

I agree that the Crossgen titles are pretty good. There's some really funny stuff in the current Rat Queens from Image. I also read a few free issues of Soulfire on comixology and the art is nice, not sure where the story is heading since I only sampled a few.

Giving my 2 cents: Ragnarok is currently on my pull, and I am enjoying it very much. :thumb:

Any of you read Weirdworld? Outstanding S&S art and story (Akron, Skull The Slayer). It's being rebooted with a slightly different angle but seems promising.

Black Knight #1 came out last week and it's actually pretty decent. Premise is that Black Knight is trapped on Weirdworld and is slowly succumbing to the power of the Ebony Blade

Thanks for the news! Sounds very Elric, so I'll give it a look.

Just read the first post-Secret Wars Weirdworld. Has a new protagonist Becca but still has Morgan La Fey, armies of Man-things and lots of Weirdworld goodness.
