Any guesses as to who is this going to be in the new Avengers lineup?

Basic line-up: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, The Vision, Ant-Man, and The Wasp. IMHO that is enough characters that an Avengers book needs.

I'll get back to you once we know Marvel actually goes through with a full on reboot and doesn't Heroes Reborn this thing.

Are the recently started GOTG books ending? What about the current Silver Surfer?

While I'd normally be cynical that it's not actually going to change things forever, I'm cynical enough about the business side directing the creative side to believe they will do a full reboot where they really downplay the characters that they don't have multi-media rights to.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

I'm going with it's Marvel, they hype events like a big deal then quickly move on afterwards to get that new number 1 issue pop

Because he showed up at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy and thus has more brand awareness than other characters now apparently.

I felt his showing up at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy was more of a joke and Marvel boasting that their movies are so successful that even Howard the Duck can be successful and considering that his movie back in the 80s is considered one of the worst comic book movies ever made (it's right up there with Batman and Robin) to the point where George Lucas even disavowed it.

Any thoughts on which villain, if any, will cause time to run out on the Marvel universe? I'm not reading the event, but I've noticed Thanos hanging around, and now I noticed the Beyonder is there. If the Beyonder causes time to run out, that guy just became a lot more important. Great to see that character around. He looks like his creator, Shooter.

There was a female Beyonder in the Thanos 12-issue series. Is this the Secret Wars Beyonder?

Yes, the original Beyonder is on an Avengers cover, with 4 months until TRO.
