Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
Re: Marvel's reboot
I was thinking the Beyonder would be the perfect character to use to cause time to run out on the Marvel Universe, and also to reboot it. On the last page of Secret Wars II, he created a new universe.
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

Re: Marvel's reboot
That's about it other than he may increase quite a bit in importance if he's prominently involved in the reboot. Interestingly, the first appearance of the Beyonder is Secret Wars II #1. He only appeared as a voice in the original Secret Wars series.

Who's going to be in the next movie? I would call that the new line up.StarBrand wrote:Any guesses as to who is this going to be in the new Avengers lineup?
Disney has turned Marvel into a singular vision company. The vision seems to be "Let's prepare for what's coming in the movies".
It makes em fear what will happen when the films are no longer box office no 1's.
This is what happens when you try to work...

Doesn't the reboot have a lot to do with aligning the movies and comics?jxm640 wrote:Who's going to be in the next movie? I would call that the new line up.StarBrand wrote:Any guesses as to who is this going to be in the new Avengers lineup?

I remember just recently an interview was done with some one on the publishing side that said they'd never push for alignment.StarBrand wrote:Doesn't the reboot have a lot to do with aligning the movies and comics?jxm640 wrote:Who's going to be in the next movie? That said, there are currently way to many examples of that happening to ignore, I'm looking at you Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch

Re: Marvel's reboot
I have to say, I'm kind of glad to hear the Beyonder might be coming back. I'm not sure I like the idea of a reboot, but at this point I've pretty much given up on Marvel comics.

Re: Marvel's reboot
Aside from Valiant and TMNT stuff all I read is Marvel. Admittedly that's not a hell of a lot (Invaders, Fantastic Four, Punisher, Daredevil). Fantastic Four is taking a break and Invaders is getting kind of lame, so that one is on the block as well. Barring a Darkhawk or Wendell Vaughan Quasar relaunch I can't see much I'll be looking forward to. Never know...one can always hope. I'm looking forward to the Princess Leia and Darth Vader books, but I can't stand Jason Aaron so I'm not getting the main series. I may flip through a few and pick it up if it's good. Providing Disney has him by both balls and has the chain tight enough around his next editorially speaking it may actually be o.k. I'm hearing decent enough things about it.

A-Force (stupid name for team) will be starring She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, The Wasp, Spider-Woman, Rouge, Storm, and every other female hero Marvel stills has alive after Secret Wars 3 will be saving the universe for awhile.StarBrand wrote:Any guesses as to who is this going to be in the new Avengers lineup?

Re: Marvel's reboot
There is Secret Wars 2099 a 5 part mini-series written by Peter David which is promoted as to be the intro of The Avengers 2099.Ras the future fan wrote:I'm only interested in the 2099 stuff, hope this leads to more books beyond spiderman.
