How do you organize your "Shooter" books?

Everything else comic-related that's not VALIANT-related.

How do you organize your "Shooter" books?

Post by vikingspawn »

I was curious to hear how other fans organize their "Shooter" comic books here.

Do you group them all chronologically as they came out, keep them all together in one box or split the runs with other comic books?

I had my Defiant/Broadway books (small stack) grouped with a few independent comics to fill up a long box but now that i'm about caught up with my "Pre-Unity" Valiant, i'm planning to group my "Shooter" stash in a long box like this:

- Nintendo/Valiant/U2K-Defiant-Broadway-Legion of SuperHeroes (last run) - then the upcoming "Dark Horse" books

If the box gets too filled up....I might group the Nintendo books with my Bongo comics stash. 8-)

How do you guys store your "Shooter" comic stash?

:hm:

Ideally when I get everything organized the way I want it, all my books will be grouped by publisher.

By publisher, by title, by issue number.

I just throw them against the wall and then where they land seems good enough to me...

That's almost like asking how I store all my comics. Anyway, I also store by publisher. One master set, then all doubles on a back shelf. And one small box for my Shooter-signed comics.

Me as well. I have DC longboxes, Marvel longboxes, an Image longbox, 3 Valiant shortboxes, and a longbox for miscellaneous other publishers, including Dark Horse.

I'm different from everyone else.
I store by day month year in which the comic was purchased.

When I add old back issues it confusses others but I have a great memory.

What this really means is that you just take the pile of comics that you've just bought and throw them in the box behind the pile of comics you bought the week before, right?

I used to be so anal about this stuff...now I just go for alphabetically by company and am happy when I get the time to organize it that way.

Wife and kids = little time to obsess! 8-)

My New Universe Comics are in a couple of different boxes.
All of my Valiant Comics are in a a pair boxes.
All of my Defiant Comics are in old shoe box.
All of my Defiant card sets are in a different box.
And all of my Broadway Comics are currently misplaced (they used to be with Defiant Comics).
My copy of Free Comic Book Day: Dr. Solar: Man of the Atom/Magnus, Robot Fighter is on my read pile.

Yeah, they are.
You must have some awfully big shoeboxes then, the typical shoebox would require the comic be rolled up at least somewhat to fit inside.

Same.

The only books that I do a bit differently are my Image boxes. With those, I keep all the Kirkman books first, then all Faerber books, then all the rest of the Image stuff. I do this to make it easier to pull out the books I read / look at often.

Ditto. Of course, all I have left are Valiant-Acclaim and one DU box.

The only exceptions are my signed Bloodshot(-related) books are all together and various VALIANT alum issues get put in the "Various VALIANT alum issues" box. Which is where my signed 'shot-related issues happen to reside, as well.
