Did you sell this issue a couple of months ago?
A run from 78 to 90-something for $1 last neighborhood flea market.

At the rate comic book films/shows are going, it is important to hold on to all 1st appearances. I'm going to kick myself if Image titles like Glory, Superpatriot, and Troll get their own movie or TV series.
I'll throw up on them if those particular properties get made into anything...

Well you gotta sell some books at some point, they won’t all have staying power. This comment is not directed to anyone in particular, just an observation. Anytime I have a book suddenly get hot that I didn’t give two *SQUEE* about I’m more than happy to sell it!

After seeing the film I can only LOL at people who paid big for this. If you sold, good for you. Guess that’s why it’s called speculating.

Well... he *did* get resurrected in the end credits scene... could still turn out to be a player in a future film...

Someone (Starbrand?) was always promoting Ultimate Fallout 4 (first Miles Morales) and I notice it's now a $50-60 book.
Also surprised to see first hellboy in Next Men now breaking $100 consistently.

I have to admit since DMG took over I have started to spend time and money elsewhere. Have you seen He Man 18 (She Ra)?! Wow. So many books are rising constantly. I am sure Amazing Spider Man 4 (1st Silk) will jump on the movie news. Things are popping in the back issue world. Even 1st Spider Gwen is jumping again..

Hehehehe ... we were grabbing copies of that one cheap for a long while. Good while it lasted so I have a tall stack of them.

Ok guys this was a big week in spec. What do you think about the Teen Titans special, Venom 3 or Moon Girl? I don't remember a week in recent memory that so many books sold out so fast..and all new characters. The prices are crazy after just a day or so..what do you think? :?

On average 10-15. The Venom 3 variant is 100-125.

Wow. Thanks for pointing those out! I always thought of this thread as sort of an interactive and current version of the WIZARD TOP TEN. At least when it was a bit more active it was.

I'm not a speculator and don't even dabble in that market but as a fan of comics I always find it interesting. I am curious if people feel like the current speculative market is different than the one in the '90s. I know there is a lot less being produced but I feel like I see a lot of stuff that sells out quickly.

The DC comics 100-page giants that are in Wal-mart seem to be hard to find. They were not available in my 2 local Wal-marts and are already on eBay at an inflated rate.

Wow! That's interesting about the Walmart DCs being inflated already. I go to Walmart a couple times a week. I'll have to look for them.

I don't think they are in all Walmarts. It doesn't look like my Walmarts got any issues. From what I've read online, it looks like speculators are scooping them up since the Walmarts that do have them only have roughly 5 copies of each.

I was looking to buy them for my kids as they are relatively inexpensive for a lot of comic. I didn't realize they were going to be so hot.

I agree with you both it is a lot like the top ten. I find myself caring even though I don't sell books, and yes very much like the 90's (although speculators never really left at all). If anything o think speculators are the big money buyers for the most part. Books sell out Alot more because stores don't carry overstock like they used to so many stores don't have back issue bins anymore (at least out here in the Los Angeles area). That what is driving the back issue market out here...miss it the day it comes out and you may never get it for a low price again.

Bongo Comics is soliciting Simpsons Comics #245 in the current month of Previews. The description says that this is the final issue of Simpsons Comics.

I think this issue will be worthy of inclusion in this thread someday. I am ordering one copy for myself but then again, I order Simpsons comics somewhat regularly. Might be worth picking up two or three of these, if you are interested in such things.

This one still surprises me since it's technically not the first Carol Danvers or Ms Marvel. Wasn't it just the one where they started calling her Captain Marvel? While the market does what the market does, I guess I'm still not sure why this one is such a big deal. It's not even the first Captain Marvel

Here comes Riri Williams...

Invincible Iron Man 7 is starting to pick up steam...especially of the Women of Power variant.
