Cool setup issue. Really enjoyed it. My only wish would've been Hyamm Alpha putting up more of a fight. On the other hand, that would have kind of defeated the purpose of the issue. I.e. To show Gilad as not only the fiercest combatant, but also as the wisest tactician. Slit a dude's throat while he sleeps, and let the greedy animals devour each other in the aftermath. Pretty genius.

The geomancer on the camel was pretty well done as well, I thought.

Quite enjoyable. We don't get many books that contain a complete story, and one well-woven at that.

I really enjoyed the artwork and the story overall. I kind of feel bad for his wife though.

Still not up on all the modern valiant, haven't read the back issues of Eternal Warrior yet:

http://delarroz.com/?p=972

Wrote a lengthy review on this one as I've done the recent X-O Books and you've all seen my VEI TPB reviews thus far. What a great book!

And I just read up on the thread that this is a one shot. That makes me super sad. :(

Thanks so much for listening, man! I personally haven't been hosting on the show very much this year (due to a necessary shift of focus in my personal life), but I'll pass on your comments to the other fella's... everyone involved always appreciates knowing people are still tuning in :D :high-five:

Yeah, really enjoyed it. I liked the continuity theory regarding the scars.

EDIT: I gotta admit, I went back tonight so I could hear the Jerry Lewis line (2:30).

Enjoyable one shot from VDitti, I thought the art was pretty good too, some interesting angles were used. Unlike VH1, I don't think I'd want one shot stories every month in an ongoing title as they can feel a little insubstantial, but every now and then is good.

I got the 'Ninjak vs' cover with the actor playing the Eternal Warrior, it thought it was a really cool cover!

4/5 - very solid :thumb:

Oh for sure. All of the Ninjak v. Valiant Universe covers look amazing. Collecting them all seems like a good move.
I can't wait to see one with Livewire. Both the character and the actress are strong sexy women. Great casting there.
As a aside, I am convinced Livewire is the real superstar of this universe, in terms of mass appeal. Time will tell.

VEI is really nailing it with a couple of traditional characters like EW and Ninjak. Love to see them start to guide Shadowman this way.

I thought this issue was fantastic! The story, the Geomancer, the art, it's everything I want in an Eternal Warrior comic. I also like the theme of family at the end, it was a nice coda to the WRATH series. Vendetti's good at doing these little stories, like the flashbacks in X-O, this had a similar vibe. I hope Valiant doesn't keep Gilad away for too long, but if they can keep filling the time in between with comics like this then that would be fine too.

I believe that's what Rapture is meant to do.
However this newly announced Rae one shot feels like a stumble.

As to the issue I'm just glad Gilad is back and I'm ready to see a long running title for the character hopefully this time. He deserves it just as XO, BS and Ninjak got into the 20s.
