Ditto on all counts.Newton wrote:This was a good story, but a little too lean. I think we are overdue on exploring more of the vine and the armor itself so I was happy to get this nugget. I would have liked a bit more detail.

Re: X-O Manowar 25th Anniversary Special
I'm still confused. It seems like the two Shanhara origins conflict each other. The Father specifically said he was sending the armor to the Vine planet because the hive mind couldn't bond with the armor. But in the Priest myth, a Vine bonded with the armor and defeated the Torment before Aric ever arrived. In addition, we see Shanhara grow from the plant in the myth but that's not how the Vine primitives first see Shanhara in issue #0. I guess we have to assume the Priest's story to just be myth but it's weird he would mention the Torment, not sure if any of that is true.

According to the priest's story in X-O Manowar #11, "a sole wanderer from a faraway land" is the one who bonded with the armor and rid the planet of the Torment. How far away? Another planet?EarthToneKing wrote:I'm still confused. It seems like the two Shanhara origins conflict each other. It was the fact that the Vine had the "hive mind" that kept Shanhara from bonding with any Vine warrior. Maybe the "sole wanderer from a faraway land" was a Vine with some kind of defect that kept him from being part of the "hive mind". That might be an interesting twist, since the Vine are all about their collective. Some "defective" Vine who couldn't communicate with them, wandering the planet by himself as an outcast, was the one who saved them all.
