Grimmax #0, also known as The Great Grimmax #0, might well have been J.G. Jones' first gig as a cover artist, something he's become clearly known for since DC's 52 (among others).

The original art is up for bid in an auction that opens Monday, May 20, at noon EDT.

Nice.

I think I like the ink version better than finished color.

It is a very nice looking original. I think Shooter was right about the energy the piece had and still has.

A tabletop miniatures game loosely based on American football; thinks elves, dwarves and orcs meets grid-iron.

He looks like he's standing in front of a Green Lantern Power Battery.

The background looks similar to this old Green lantern #81 cover:

JG Jones can always use that photo as a variant if he's working on Green Lantern cover run.

Speaking of Grimmax, this year is the 20th Anniversary of Plasm and Defiant. (And Dark Dominion, GoodGuys, Splatterball...)

Any news of a special coming out or a hardcover of the first Plasm arc?

Always wanted to see those characters back in print. And Schism.

:hm: :hope:
