Hardest Dead Universe issues to find

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Here's a Miracle on Broadway for ya - if you've got some extra dough.

http://www.atomicavenue.com/atomic/Issu ... ?ID=221053" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And there was a Bloodshot Platinum on Comics Price Guide Online up until a week or so ago priced at $200. I didn't inquire about it since it was out of my price range, so it also could have been listed incorrectly.

Most of the books I find myself looking for aren't so much Hard To Find as they are Hard To Afford. There's a Fatale HC that pops up on eBay from time to time for like $1200. So if money were no object...

I am good, I have had my Miracle on Broadway comic for a few years now (and didn't pay nearly that much as its listed for on that website). If I didn't have one, I would seriously consider making an offer on it to them and if they didn't accept, I would not have too much heartburn paying the $295.

The Fatale HC is another of those HTF books that I need and with patience, will pick one up eventually. I passed on one years ago for $100 from JG Jones, the Fatale artist, and he even said for the price he would do a Fatale sketch/remark inside the book for me... and like a cheap bastich that I am, I passed on it. :!: (of course, I make more money than I did back then when I was in the Army but STILL, right ?)

Yea, based on what I've read the price didn't seem too outlandish, just more than I could pay right now. That hurts about the Fatale HC. We've all got some of those stories, but that one is especiialy tough. At least to those of us on the lookout for a Fatale HC, much less an autographed/remarked Fatale HC.

There's a signed M.O.B. on Amazon from "vikescomics" for $330 listed as NM and graded as 9.0 from mycomicshop.com.

Click the pic and see if it really looks like a 9.0:

http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Broadway- ... 466&sr=1-8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"vikescomics" still ain't me. (3 people have asked me)

Something is fishy with this. Makes you wonder if Vikes didn't take the COA from one copy of the book and put it with a lower grade copy. I seriously doubt Lone Star would have given that book a 9.0.

...and since when is 9.0 NM?

I think vikes defines NM as every book in his possession.

Is there a way to tell it's the spanish version by the cover? Is the cover in spanish?

I found one in a cheap box once, because I always look inside any copies of P & C #2 I see in bargain boxes. Later sold it for over $20. I also always check inside Eclipse 3-D books in the off-chance that I might come across one of the 2-D versions.

I think that was discussed in one of the early OTV episodes.

I believe that he ordered a grip from somewhere (mycomicshop maybe?) and they jacked them up in shipping.

pretty much correct, but it was New Dimension Comics, who bought a ton of Eclipse stuff when they went belly up. Another thing that New Dimension has are copies of Miracleman which they applied foil stamps to and are calling them Eclipse Archive Editions. Here's a link to one of their auctions:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIRACLEMAN-8-BL ... 385wt_1037" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lone Star does have a few of the 2-D Eclipse books. Since I was never able to find one "in the wild", I bought a mid-grade copy of a 2-D version Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters issue.

Does anyone else find this a bit strange? So, anyone can put on a foil stamp and make their own variant on any comic?

Here's an auction for 5 copies of an ash can from SDCC circa 1993, published by Majestic. Strangely, I think I was at this show and remember seeing these.
